In an interview with FOX News host Laura Ingraham, Vice President J.D. Vance said communism is the result of the Democratic Party being run by universities and professors.
LAURA INGRAHAM, FOX NEWS: You've been following what's going on with the Democrat party and the rise of socialism. The president calls it communism and says this is this is really the biggest threat to the country now, an internal threat, and you've seen what happens when the base of the party, a party, turns on its establishment beginning with the Tea Party in 2009, ultimately resulting in President Trump's election twice. So my question to you is are these DSA types really in your estimation going to dominate the entire party?
VICE PRESIDENT J.D. VANCE: I unfortunately fear that's the direction the Democrats are headed, and it is communism, Laura. This is not, you know, this is not raising taxes a little bit, however much we might disagree with that. This is abolishing the police.
This is let criminals run amok in your cities. This is flood your country with low-wage third-world immigrants, and importantly it's confiscating wealth, not because we want to make anybody's life better, but purely out of resentment, out of an attack on the people who have that wealth to begin with. It really is something we haven't seen in the United States of America in the history of our politics, and Laura, I think that it actually is a consequence of the fact that the Democrat party has become run by the universities and by the professors.
This is not working-class Union Democrats. This is not socially conservative people who just want a fair shake at life. This is fundamentally a view that the United States is an evil country that must be dismantled

The religion of the malcontents.
I know a government school teacher who is an outright communist. This teacher is so filled with envy, you can almost see it oozing out of him. He has a degree, he’s a teacher, in his mind that should make him as wealthy as anyone. When he sees people who have hustled to make money, people without the revered college degree, it burns in him.
That is the kind of person teaching our kids.

Communism is not supposed to “work.”
American life expectancy for working class white males went down by several years in part due to the opioid epidemic. So you’re going to tell all the rust belters that actually, no, bow down to all the elites and corporations that sent their jobs and factories abroad?
They’ve already run out of other people’s money.
He is not wrong… the left will absolutely cut off their nose to spite their faces….
As history has shown, the teachers, lawyers, activists that ushered in commie rule will be the first on the wall. The useful idiots will stand in their bread lines and wonder what happened and why there isn’t any bread on the shelves.
This is one of many reasons either to homeschool or to send your children to a conservative Christian school. The latter is less foolproof as even there you must watch their teachers and check the curriculum very closely. Better to drive a beater and skip vacations than put them in the public schools.
So holding Big Pharma , Big Tech accountable is communist? No it’s very in brand for MAGA too.
Look if Trump’s presidency doesn’t make economic realities better for average people on the ground, then obviously it leaves the door open. So maybe that should be the focus of the administration.

That is not an isolated opinion. I know PhDs that feel themselves above others intellectually, and quietly resent other’s success.

We live in an era of the greatest abundance, the most ease, the most leisure, the richest “poor” in the history of all mankind. That is the unvarnished “economic reality.”
Just 125 years ago, people worked 12 hour days six days a week to just survive. Children went to work at age 10 just to keep the family fed.
People lose sight of that.
Because of our great material abundance and the leftist malcontents, people want free housing, free food, free health care, free education, free phones, free clothes. Every small businessman and businesswoman I know has the same complaint today — they cannot find people to WORK.
Economic hardship and “affordability” are strawmen erected by the leftist malcontent Democrats to get into power. When did leftists, socialists, and communists ever create a job or wealth? Never.
What about wounded military Veterans who rely on the government for support and things like physical therapy, and don’t get it - or wait months for their surgeries to be approved by the VA. Lazy?
I mention because these are the types making up the discontented swaths of Americans who just want anyone but the current elites in charge.
A lot of our veterans are on the streets.
Middle classers rely on Go Fund Me and selling their homes to fund their child’s cancer treatments once insurance stops.
I worked with a couple who were very proud to be red diaper babies and proud of the fact that one of their fathers was called before the HUAC committee.
It doesn’t get worse than that. The amazing part, is that none of them ever lived under communism or tyranny. They always enjoyed the freedom of the US.
Yes, I despised them.

When I was in my early and mid 20s, I worked in Red China for seven months. I was at three different fertilizer plant sites from the far south to the far north. I got there two weeks after Mao died. I saw communism up close and personal, just after the great upheavals of the “Cultural Revolution” had killed many and wiped out history. I lived the great brainwashing going on.
I worked in Chile not long after Allende was overthrown and saw the bullet holes in the palace in Santiago.
I’ve got a good sense of what works in societies and what doesn’t. As you say, these useful idiots have never lived it.
I came back from those experiences convinced that every American must spend 2 to 5 years in a communist country in their late teens and early 20s.

The employers and bosses I know love hiring vets. They are well trained, well disciplined, hard workers, and high performers. I had a nuclear submariner working for me once 25 years ago and he was the best.
The vets on the streets made bad choices and most likely got involved with drugs and/or alcohol. My cousin came back from Vietnam a wreck, a raging alcoholic. He was productively employed as a machinist, but died early.
Bad life choices get you whether you are a vet or not. Being a vet does not absolve you of personal responsibility and care for your own life. Yes, we all owe them a great debt of gratitude and an obligation to care for them, but when they become hopeless wrecks, are we still obligated?
Those who control communism control the money and power it’s why so many are chasing that goal they are very dangerous people.
