Been going on for over 20 years, I have been talking about this for at least that long.
Then it moved into the TV series and movies a few years later.
You have me beat by quite a lot. I was still watching back then. At best my last network tv ended about 10 years ago around 2016-17. Movies died for me a year or two later. I catch the odd bit when visiting friends like this past weekend we watched about 20 minutes of one of the world cup soccer games.

The earliest Safelight commercial I remember seeing had a black guy touting the product. I don’t think the company was very well known at the time. After that I saw white men in the commercials. Maybe the company was afraid viewers would assume Safelight was a black-owned business and be less likely to patronize it.
Three constantly recurring themes...
Black males with white females.
White male or white female whose best friend is Black.
Competent mature Black adults interacting with silly incompetent white males.
It is LOL predictable.
Impossible to understand why for profit corporations would pay real money for such crap.
Every HIV television ad I see has one or more Black males in it.
I am surprised the pharmaceutical companies have the political courage to do that.
In 1988 I came home from construction work pretty late and saw my wife and four kids looking blank watching the screen. I didn’t think anything, in words at least, I walked in, picked up the TV and took it out to the ally then put a chunk of cement through the screen. Have not had one since. The last movie I enjoyed was Forest Gump. The next movie I went to was The updated Alice-in-Wonderland thing. I had read reviews from two reviewers I thought liked what I liked. They raved about the use of CG with live characters. They didn’t say it was a Disney flick. 10 minutes into the movie I realized it was Disney and I knew how it would progress and how it would end. I left and have not been in a movie theater since nor do I stream them.
When did this happen?? Really!??
It started back in the 80s with the likes of Madonnas “Pappa dont preach “ tune... where she is screwed by a black dude on a church alter!!
Been going on for years!! And now they’re doing it overseas with white girls and Arabic guys!! Watch any of their movies lately!!??

That’s quite a story. Same here as far as streaming. I’ll readily admit the computer is a type of tv and I’m on it too much but there are characteristics that make it fundamentally different to passive couch potato viewing.
And your pic is very deceiving... 98% of the time it is a white woman and black man... TV and ads are dominated by it!!
Also in every ad, the black person is smarter than the white person. Every single time!
Advertisements are basically like living in a liberal woman’s brain.
They know their dumb and/or full of envy and greed, so they make these ads to exploit. Credit card debtors.
Thieves, know one another. Eve and Jezebel were envious thieves. And then there was the son of Noah, that exposed his father.
That’s their targets. Just like themselves.
