We attended a party about 35 years ago where we played charades.
When the teams separated to come up with titles, I asked “what if we get Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?” This was right around the time the movie came out, so it was a distinct possibility. We came up with a coded gesture, which was to rub your back.
Sure enough, early in the game one of our team members gets that title. He walks out in front of the room (the other team smirking smugly the whole time), turns and rubs his back and we all shout in unison “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!” Elapsed time about 5 seconds.
The other team accused us of cheating.
you did cheat... hehehe
one time, in the heat of bidding, my team mate bid zero seconds, to which his opponent, my brother said you cannot guess this movie title in zero seconds... to which i guessed “Jaws” and got it right. then the argument turned to that was never zero seconds.
hehehe good times
No, we just prepared for what would have been an impossible task. We only did it for that one item.
