Nice to see the UK has its priorities right.
Britons have been ordered to remove air conditioning from their homes - despite the country baking in up to 40C heat this week - under a fresh Net Zero crackdown.
Planning officials at councils have told residents to take down their cooling units over concerns about carbon dioxide emissions.
They say AC, despite the heat, should serve only as a 'last resort'.
But not enough of a "last resort" to, you know, keep you from roasting to death, apparently.
Instead, authorities ordered citizens to exhaust all other forms of avoiding heat stroke.
The crackdown comes from building regulations, which demand 'active cooling' is used only after all 'passive cooling' methods, like opening windows or running fans, have been exhausted.
Yeah, open up those windows and use fans to circulate the hot air throughout your home. That'll be more comfortable.
Enforcement has been even more stringent in London:
One Londoner received orders to 'permanently remove' two cooling units from the rear of their property, The Telegraph revealed.
Camden Council's planning inspectors determined there was 'no justification' for the equipment, ruling it breached the authority's 'cooling hierarchy' policy.
During an appeal, the homeowner was advised to open windows and balcony doors in their first-floor flat to achieve ventilation 'by natural means'.
When the resident raised security concerns in the crime-addled capital, inspectors dismissed these, arguing the risk was not 'as great as those associated with ground floor windows' and suggesting windows could remain closed overnight.
So if you live on the ground floor, you get to choose between dying of heat or letting criminal migrants break into your home to kill you.
And if you decide to live like a civilized chap and install an air conditioner?
Be prepared to face the consequences.

Just imagine the carbon savings if they really got serious about “last resort.”
The bottom line is the UK government hates its people just as our Democrat party hates us and just as the European elites (except for the “far right” ones) hate their publics.
This air conditioning fiasco is just the latest data point in the pattern.

It’s 77 degrees Fahrenheit in London according to Accuweather.
London is forecast to reach 88 degrees on the 7th.
It hit 97 degrees on the 26th with a low of 72 degrees.
If you don’t have AC, a window fan can be used to suck in or blow out cooler nighttime air for multiple nighttime household air changes.
Convert to Islam and you can keep your air conditioner.
There are people, regardless of country that if they had their way would have us all living in mud huts, eating nothing but bugs and root vegetables and using only horses for conveyance.
Brits are overlooking one very important issue. They have bare cut most of their forests and other green foliage covered these areas with concrete, blacktop and reflective roofing creating a negative heat release coefficient in our atmosphere. During sunlit days heat buildup in these areas is so high that there is not enough dark night hours to release the daylight heat that was built up. Maybe to offset this disaster would be to replace a cut tree or several cut trees with planting 5 or more seedlings somewhere in the same vicinity with broadleaf or similar trees to dissipate a coefficient amount of absorbed heat during the night hours. There is no other way to dissipate global heat entrapment warming.

1. Be reproducible. So if you record a global temperature increase of 1.2 degrees F, with the right equipment I should be able to do the same.
2. Include a calculated estimate of uncertainty (a +/- value).

You can close the windows at night if you’re worried about crime. You know, when it’s cooler.
Open during the day when it’s 40 deg C. The criminals will climb in for the shade and a glass of warm shandy.

I’ve lived in Florida most of my life.......even to me that’s brutal.
B3cause, you know, saving so eone’s life from heatstroke takes a back seat to placating scam artists who can’t prove rising heat i the fault of man, nor can they prove that rising heat is a problem when adequately prepared for it like with air conditioners for people at risk.
Man’s co2 is 0,00146% of the atmosphere... it is a shameful claim to say that out co2 is affecting global temperatures! The amount,of gaslighting over this fictitious claim is. Staggering!
