POLK COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A Florida woman arrested after calling 911 to complain about a traffic ticket was later found with 28 bags of fentanyl hidden inside her body.
The incident began when deputies blocked a roadway to assist utility crews working on power lines, per the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
According to Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, 48-year-old Gina Redding of Lake Wales bypassed the roadblock, driving around a deputy stationed to redirect traffic. She was stopped at the other end of the closed road by a second deputy and issued a citation.
Displeased with the ticket, Redding reportedly began following the deputy's patrol vehicle and called emergency services.
"She decides, 'I'll just dial 911 because I don't like this traffic ticket,'" Sheriff Judd detailed in a video posted to Facebook.
Due to the unlawful misuse of the emergency system, additional deputies intervened, pulling Redding over a second time to arrest her and cite her for illegally tinted windows.
Before towing her vehicle, deputies say they conducted a standard inventory search and discovered marijuana.
However, the most severe discovery occurred during the booking process at the local jail, where an advanced body scan revealed a foreign object.
Corrections officers subsequently recovered 28 bags of fentanyl hidden inside her "Virginia," as the Sheriff colloquially referred to it.
"She says she doesn't deal fentanyl, but it would certainly explain her conduct," Sheriff Judd noted, adding, "We didn't visit 'Virginia' any further, we just put her in jail."

Deputies find 100 . . .
“psst, shhhhh uh no . . . only 28 left”
that’s find 28 bags of Fentanyl.
like the ever-dwindling bags of cash and weed back in the old days.
Better than Neptune?
ObamaBot.
There are quite a few traffic stop videos of drivers calling 911 because they are “afraid of the police.”
Calling for more police, yet you tell the 911 operator that you are afraid of police.
It becomes even more hilarious when the driver calling 911 refuses to exit the vehicle.
The height of hilarity is when the driver calling 911 is also a Sovereign Citizen, American National, Moroccan, etc. The verbal jujitsu / word salad is something to behold.
Years ago in Connecticut a man was arrested while sitting on a tree stump on a hiking trail completely naked. In addition to the public indecency charge he was cited for concealed carry of a deadly weapon. No further information was provided.
“In earlier times, the stupid would just die off. Now they breed and are supported for their stupidity.”
I blame the proliferation of warning labels.
If we were declare warning signs and labels illegal, the stupidity problem would clear itself up in a few short years.
Bonus: Leftists would never win another election!
“Inside her ‘Virginia’ “ LOL!!!
Too prim and proper to use the actual term.
I understand. I too was raised to be a Gentleman and treat Ladies with respect. It’s hard to change old habits.
I admit I never heard that colloquial term Virginia. Although I have seen cars with the Virginia Is For Lovers bumper stickers.
My late wife had a family friend whose son was frequently in trouble for selling drugs in the late 1970s.
We attended his funeral after he died on an airplane trip when one of the dozens of condoms filled with drugs he swallowed to transport for sale burst open and killed him midflght.
They could have just popped one while it was in her and saved the rest of the hassle.
Criminals need to start hearing that crime doesn’t pay, and can cost you your life.
Police officers are at the receiving end of some of that death concern, and they are just doing their job.
i hope they checked thoroughly, she probably had a pistol, car keys, iphone and box of tic-tacs in there too
Even so,,,there were 28! of ‘em!
That’s more than a tube of biscuits!
28???????????????????
This one goes in the “Karen” file.
This guy needs his own 1/2 hour reality show.
