This is YUGE because it is another big chunk of Communism falling down, like that worn-out clip of the Berlin Wall that falls then gets hung up on its own rebar, stopping halfway.
Starmer was not JUST a leftist labor politician. He was a 'genetically pure', red-diaper baby, groomed and installed all the way, aristocratic Communist who went to finishing school in some Czechoslovakian struggle-session camp as a kid for finishing school. Like Hillary, Obama, Mamdani, and other clowns out of the Rhodes Scholarship and Oxford, and of course, Harvard and Columbia, and other places, who go on to politics, this guy Starmer was the best that Communism could produce, intellectual pedigree and ideological purity-wise.
He was the holiest high priest of Communism you could get.
And a huge nation, the closest to us in thinking and culture in the whole world, the UK, is now tossing him into the Ashheap of History.
That is indeed YUGE.
The markets may just see this as a big step forward in the planet's banishing this horrible philosophy once and for all.

My view is these people believe very little of the leftist ideology.
It is a tool which they use to acquire and expand and keep power.
Just look at “climate”. They now see AI as a mechanism for surveilance and monitoring and ultimately power greater than climate, and if the electric power requireds fossil fuels, so be it.

There is a reason why (for good or for ill), Karl Marx is sometimes ranked as the single most influential man of the past thousand years, and also ranks amongst the top five most influential men, who ever lived. Even if one utterly despises the man, and nearly everything he preached, it still simply CANNOT be denied that, as a doctrine, psychology, and as a philosophy, Communism is seductive on a truly demonic level. More so because it spreads through seduction rather than via the edge of the sword, like Islam. The difference between Islam and Communism is that Islam waves its blades instead of hiding them. Communism saves theirs for later.
Communism is also as hard to eradicate as Kudzu, and every time it gets damaged, it gets picked back up, and rescued by dusting it off, giving it a bath and a new set of clothes. One could lose count of the times that Communism has been fished out of the sewers, rescued and repackaged for each new generation.
Much like using terms like socialism or communism, just a means to justify govt control

Thanks for posting. Sounds like it will be a couple of months before a successor is in place.
Britain has already passed a law requiring age verification for social media and other online services that display adult content, effective from July 25, 2025. This law is part of the Online Safety Act aimed at protecting children from harmful content. I suspect this is essentially mandatory digital ID in disguise.
Who knows what else will get rammed though in the interim?
This could be a dangerous couple of months for the freedom and privacy of the British people.
