Today’s elementary schools are typically grades 1 thru 6. So the perps were 6 to 12 years old.
The only violence I ever saw in my elementary school was when we played Red Rover send Lucy on Over.

10th grade, we were absolutely shocked and appalled when a JD thug hit a teacher outside our classroom door. It was a first for all of us; no one had any sympathy over his arrest and expulsion.
Gotta be a good story there.
