Minnesota AG Ellison lashes out when grilled on fraud scandal: 'I’m done talking to you'

Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison lashed out when asked about his handling of the Minnesota fraud scandal following Vice President JD Vance's threat to refer him to the Justice Department, while pushing back on a widely cited $8 billion figure as only mentioned by those "aligned with the Trump Administration."

"That is a false number," Ellison said. "The fact is, is that fraud is always wrong."

"Why don't you give me a break, man?" he continued.

The comments come as Vance, the head of the Trump administration’s new anti-fraud task force, threatened to press the Justice Department to open an investigation into Ellison’s alleged knowledge of the widespread fraud scheme in Minnesota.

When asked about the common estimate of Minnesota fraud ballooning to about $8 billion, Ellison grew visibly frustrated with the reporter and ended the interview, claiming the number is only used by those of a certain political affiliation.

"If you ask the newspapers for a forensic accounting, the number you mentioned is tightly identified with people of a very unique political persuasion aligned with the Trump administration," Ellison told Fox News Digital.

"So, I’m done talking to you. Bye-bye," he said as he began walking away.

When the reporter stated he had wanted Ellison to clear up the number and was citing a variety of reports, Ellison continued to question the claimed biases of his reporting.

If there ever was a bad apple that needed to be mashed into a loose paste and flushed down the toilet is this Keith Ellison clown.

while pushing back on a widely cited $8 billion figure as only mentioned by those "aligned with the Trump Administration." "That is a false number," Ellison said.

Oh, so it's only $4 billion. No problem.

No? Only $2 billion. Well, then, just a slap on the wrist and a week of community service.

/S

But that is exactly the kind of punishment I expect from this guy.

Passing laws mandating execution for fraud is the only way to get this stopped.

Investigation then trial and punishment are be built in to our justice system.
The allegations and evidence of the criminal activity has already been ignored enough, get on with it. If it was one of us patriot 6ers we’d already been in jail going straight to the punishment phase. Vigilantism is born of this shit.

That won’t stop it either unless people are actually convicted. Even short prison sentences would stop most of it if convictions were handed down. Those arrogant POS wouldn’t like being incarcerated. The problem is actually convicting them. Many, if not most, of them have some background in law. Even a mediocre law degree gives them enough knowledge to know what would hold up in court and what won’t. Where are they hiding the money? I just wonder how many democrat politicians have numbered bank accounts...

He’s in the club, so he can be as obnoxious as he wishes to be without consequences. In woke MN, he’s likely to be AG as long as he wishes.

Vice President JD Vance's threat to refer him to the Justice Department

Don't threaten, Vance, do it.

The taxpayers of Minnesota deserve nothing less.

The size of the punishment is not the problem.

Most FRAUD crimes are not prosecuted. They are accepted as business as usual. Deloitte is a good example.

Deloitte is the #1 welfare fraudster. In response to the increased size and complexity of welfare under Obama, in 2013-14 Deloitte developed IES Integrated Eligibility System now used in most states. It was intentionally developed to be fraudulent.

The CIO of GA DCH went to great lengths to try to get Deloitte to properly design and develop IES. But Deloitte refused.

When is Deloitte and other creatures in the swamp going to be prosecuted?

Deloitte IES fraud is in most states, both Red and Blue, in CA TX FL GA IL MI PA NY .... etc. Here is GA the Attorney General Chris Carr seems bewildered.
