X Greenlights Israeli National Security Minister’s ‘Burn Lebanon’ Post

Social media platform X has declined to remove a post by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir calling for the destruction of Lebanon, despite its rules prohibiting threats and incitement targeting people on the basis of ethnicity, national origin or religion.

Published on Friday, the call came amid fragile efforts to halt fighting in the region. Despite a US-Iran-brokered ceasefire intended to cover all fronts, including Lebanon, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has refused to withdraw forces from its northern neighbor, prompting Tehran to delay follow-up peace talks in Switzerland.

Reuters reported later in the day that Hezbollah and Israel had agreed to a ceasefire after mediation by the US and Qatar, although neither side officially confirmed the deal and open-source intelligence monitors said Israeli strikes in Lebanon continued after the truce was announced.

“All of Lebanon should burn!” Ben-Gvir wrote in the controversial post on X. “With all due respect to the Americans, Israel must make it clear to the entire world that the blood of our sons and the security of our citizens is not in vain.”

He also wrote: “Enough with the ping-pong. In the Middle East, you don’t win with measured responses and containment — you have to go crazy. Erase. Defeat terrorism.”

The stance puts West Jerusalem at odds with the US-Iran agreement. Tehran’s officials have warned that continued Israeli strikes or a prolonged military presence in Lebanon would be viewed as a breach of Washington’s commitments under the peace deal.

Earlier this week, US Vice President J.D. Vance publicly rebuked Israeli hardliners, urging them to give diplomacy a chance and show “a little bit of credit” to Washington.

“You’re a country of nine million people. You can’t just kill your way out of solving every single national security problem that you have,” Vance said, cautioning Israeli officials against publicly criticizing Trump over the deal.

Trump himself has also expressed frustration with Israel’s conduct in Lebanon, including during reportedly heated phone calls with Netanyahu, while reaffirming his broader support for the Jewish state.

Was/Is AJ this upset when the same threats are posted about Israel?? Does X remove those posts??

Just curious if he (and, X) use the same standards, both ways.

Itamar Ben-Gvir is a “settler”......a highly polarizing Israeli who serves as one of the Israeli govt’s Ministers, characterized as an extremist and an agent provocateur.

Because of his offensive policies and rhetoric, he has been sanctioned by several nations, including Australia and the United Kingdom. He and his allies are frequently criticized by international bodies—such as the US State Department—for fueling tensions and undermining peace efforts.

Reports indicate HE CANCELLED A RECENT PLAN TO VISIT THE US b/c his MULTIPLE criminal convictions in Israel (which include incitement to racism and support for a terrorist organization) complicated the visa clearance process.

the Minister’s statement was imho very poorly worded.
It does not reflect Jerusalem government policy the way he said it. He really should clarify that the Hezballah terrorist murder gang and all who protect, enable, finance, arm, train, or hide them....should and will be eliminated once and for all. But this won’t burn the entire little country called Lebanon, indeed it will enable the few remaining good civilied people there to regain their control of the government, which is why they’re agreed with the IDF taking over the areas wherefrom Hezballah was shooting.

Ben Gvir has the right direction but sometimes expresses his thoughts in shall we say imprecise language. In this instance, not helpful and he really should polish it to be more accurate, imho. Otherwise all the commies and nazis and Islamicists jump all over it

The Hezbollah Chorus appears right on cue.

I can’t imagine being such a Foreigners Firster that when I see criticism of a foreign government my assumption is it must be support for another set of foreigners.

Support for America never even occurs to this type.

I’m afraid I don’t understand your point.

I’m as America First as it gets. That doesn’t mean I can’t support another country when they’re killing savages who want both our societies destroyed.

They’re not mutually exclusive.

Your mistake is thinking we have to fight someone else’s ’Indian Wars’.

We don’t, and it’s never ‘America First’ to go abroad looking for monsters to destroy.

What you don’t see it that this war is driven by savages on both sides, and only one side has stolen our technology and sold it to the Chinese.

We need no more be aligned with the Hebrews or Hezbollah than we must be aligned with either the Hutu or the Tutsi.

Their conflicts are not our conflict. No matter how desperately they want it to be. If the Hutus started buying up our politicians and convincing them for million dollar donations to send billions in tax dollars, how would you feel about it?

So there’s that.

Acting this ignorant is something I see leftists do, but not really conservatives. I’d expect a conservative to be able to see the whole picture, and how Bibi’s 7 trips to the WH before we went on the Iranian misadventure weren’t a coincidence. And how the FIRST stipulation in the MOU is Iran, the U.S. and allies to respect borders, specifically including Lebanon.

So there’s that.

Netanyahu’s seventh visit to the Trump White House Feb 11, 2026, were highly classified,closed-door talks, in WH Situation Room briefings focused on duping Trump into going to war with Iran.

If Trump is capable of remorse, that’s where it should start.

Shockingly, Trump allowed Netanyahu and officials from Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency to participate in closed-door meetings in the super-sensitive “White House Situation Room”......a secure, highly classified complex usually off-limits to foreigners.

The highly publicized Situation Room sessions were held to “share intelligence” and allowed Israel to pitch bombing campaigns in the Middle East. According to a detailed New York Times report, the turning point for the US going to war came on February 11.

Foreign nationals are generally not allowed inside the sacrosanct White House Situation Room. Access to the secure, highly classified complex is strictly limited to authorized US government officials, military personnel, and intelligence staff who hold top-level security clearances.

Does MAGA Trump know US government reports confirm that Israel has a history of aggressive espionage operations directed at the United States?

According to more recent intelligence assessments, Israeli espionage is officially evaluated at a “critical” level. The Pentagon’s Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) elevated the counterintelligence threat designation for Israel to its highest possible tier.

The threat level was raised due to intensified Israeli efforts to surveil top US officials and intercept top secret communications. US officials have expressed alarm over Israeli attempts to uncover internal deliberations and negotiating strategies regarding the conflict in Iran.

So there’s that.

So when you invade another country and get incinerated for it, no who isn't a dupe or a sucker feels bad for you and thinks you're the victim.

So there's that.
