Just kidding, but I’ve given when I can, but really in this day and age this model is very odd, but if it’s working great.
It’s hard to believe it costs this much to run a non-ai, and no updates Website in this day and age. I understand wanting to make a profit for the people the manage it, but at least improve the features so we can want to keep donating to keep the service going with IMPROVEMENTS.
Just my 2 cents.
If you can permanently get rid of the trolls on this site who are given brief time-outs and then allowed to come back and repeat their offenses over and over again, maybe I’ll start donating again.
I suspect it can’t cost more than $2000.00 per month to run. Any little cloud server could handle this load with absolute ease. And I’m being generous with that figure, it could be more like $500.00 or even less.

Exactly! Now if they gave us improved services I’d be willing to pay more. But FR hasn’t changed at all for decades. At one time they had likes and I was like...yes! Then they killed it a week.
Give us a service worth paying for and then it will be easy to maintain, but they are just milking the old timers (I’m one of them).

The site was demonetized and had to develop a new system for paying . Who said anything about you? FR shut down for a f ew days and migrated all the old files to the new platform . It wasn’t that long ago.
Things change over time for what ever reason. It may include
age of equipment, rules of the road, failure to keep up the
daily/weekly needs, trying new procedures, etc. etc. etc.
I personally have no inside info on the management, rules of
law that are used, how the money is used, etc. etc. etc. But
change does occur and if change and improvements aren’t used
then it is just like any other item they decline, fail to be top of the
line, etc. Good luck.

Ah so you’re talking about the days that the deep state was shutting down online comms.
Did they at least open a lawsuit with the money they are making? Or get a legal service to advocate for them?
Maybe they did, I don’t know, but just transferring servers isn’t really fighting for us. I’ll gladly give a lot more if they are going to sue to have their rights on server farms restored.
