Obama should have hired illegals to do the work instead of Blacks. Then he could have just called ICE when they tried to get paid.
The good news is Lankford is up in ‘28. Trump will support a primary challenger since Lankford was too squishy regarding immigration. If Shannon challenges from his statewide elected perch Lankford just might do a Tom Tillis and quit. He was censored by the state gop for that immigration deal. Shannon has paid his dues. He was house speaker.

The primary contractor handles the subcontractors. If they’re not getting paid, the issue is with the primary contractor, not the Obamas.
I certainly won’t defend the Obamski’s but, pretty sure they aren’t signing any checks for the cinder block. They could apply pressure to whoever is. Besides which, you know all those contractors would have pushed their mom down a flight of stairs to be included in the build. “I helped!”

Then there are the old geezers who should call it a career. Think Grassley, Boozman, Crapo.

I checked out a few leftie websites to see what they had to say about the contractors not getting paid.
Big surprise. It’s not Obama’s fault. It’s not the Obama Center’s fault. It’s the contractors’ fault for not keeping in better touch with the subcontractors.
That excuse was not fully explained. Probably because it was made up.

Cost to taxpayers for Obama Center keep piling up. Illinois taxpayers may be on the hook for millions in unpaid contractor fees for the Obama Presidential Center as the foundation’s promised $420 million “safety net” fund to prevent a taxpayer bailout has yet to materialize and many black-owned contractors are being left unpaid.
Meanwhile, multiple contractors are now saying that the Obama Center hasn’t paid them for millions of dollars for their work. And some are wondering if taxpayers will be forced to pay up, according to Fox News. Some of these subcontractors say they are locked in payment disputes and if they aren’t paid, they face closing their businesses.
The City of Chicago approved the Obama Center under the requirement the foundation would raise a $470 million backup fund to pay for expenses that slipped under the radar so taxpayers would not have to pony. The fund is part of the 99-year deal to use the 19.3-acre Jackson Park in exchange for a token payment of $10. But so far, that $470 million fund has only been bankrolled to the tune of a mere $1 million.

One company that should not be paid is the Architect.
That is the ugliest most depressing building to look at ever constructed.
A grain silo has more artistic merit than Obama’s library.
Obama must of met with the architect and told him that he wanted to out ugly Clinton’s library.
Were monthly progress payments being made to the GC which would be the norm? If there were inadequate funds it should have showed up long before the completion of the project when progress payments weren’t being made. Any contractor working without regular payments was essentially financing the project.
