Trump-backed Mike Collins won the Georgia US Senate Republican runoff.
Collins defeated Derek Dooley, a candidate backed by Governor Brian Kemp.
Mike Collins will face off against Democrat Senator Jon Ossoff this fall.

President Trump endorsed Mike Collins over the weekend.
Trump called Mike Collins a "true friend, fighter and warrior."
Full statement from Trump:
It is my Great Honor to endorse “MAGA” Mike Collins, a Highly Respected Congressman who has been with me from the very beginning, and is running for the United States Senate in Georgia, a very special place to me, and where we just had a BIG Presidential Election Win with the Most Votes Received by any single Candidate in Georgia’s History, for any Election. Mike is strongly supported by the most Highly Respected MAGA Patriots in Georgia and beyond, and many Republicans in the U.S. House and Senate — He is a WARRIOR and WINNER!
A very successful Businessman prior to becoming a distinguished U.S. Congressman, Mike has brilliantly served his Community, during a career loaded with accolades and wins, always fighting tirelessly for our America First Agenda. As your next Senator, Mike will continue to work hard to Grow the Economy, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., Champion American Energy DOMINANCE, Strengthen our incredible Military/Veterans, Advance Election Integrity, Keep our Border SECURE, Stop Migrant Crime, Murderers, and other Criminals from illegally entering our Country, Ensure LAW AND ORDER, and Protect our always under siege Second Amendment.

Decision Desk HQ projects Rick Jackson wins the GA Governor Republican Runoff
Greg Dolezal defeats John F. Kennedy in the Georgia Republican Lieutenant Governor runoff
Predicted. The only question is can he win?
Jon Ossoff (D) is vulnerable, but he’s pulled in support even from red area in the past.. It’s a good thing that he says he doesn’t want to run for President next round, I think he’d be a bigger threat than Gavin Newsom or Kamala Harris.
From NBC (BTW, I can’t state Ossoff!):
“Ossoff previewed his case against Collins in a short statement following Collins’ Republican runoff victory.
“Donald Trump’s handpicked candidate Mike Collins is a notorious bigot, antisemite, and extremist currently under federal investigation for the illegal misuse of tax dollars,” Ossoff said. “Collins, who is only a congressman because his daddy was a congressman, voted to double health insurance premiums for more than a million Georgians, for the Iran War, and for the Trump tariffs.”
Collins has attacked Ossoff as beholden to interests outside of Georgia and as too liberal for the state.”
Interesting...sounds heated!
The economy in the coming months will be the swing factor I’d imagine.
Voted for Dooley. Collins has too many issues that Dems will exploit. Ossoff will win.
Voted for Jackson and he won. Good chance he beats Bottoms for Gov.
Kemp endorsement killed Dooly. Walker didn’t help either.
Voted for Jackson, the same reason.
HOW MANY VOTES DID GEORGIA COUNT IN UNDER 6 HOURS???
CAN THEY ADVISE LOS ANGELES?
About 700,000 total in just this one race, and there were others as well!..................
Dolezal winning for LG is a good outcome.
Rick Jackson is a squishy piece of shit from the same mold as Brian Kemp and Brad Raffensperger. In fact, Raffensperger’s supporters are what put Jackson over the top in the runoff. Burt Jones was an infinitely better option for Governor than Jackson.
Neither Collins nor Dooley were ever going to beat Ossoff, so that runoff wasn’t quite so important.
Ossoff may be an electoral threat why?
Has he learned how to seem more normal than the average Dem candidate of today? He has kept a somewhat low profile since his first big campaign about six years ago.
Sometimes having little name recognition is a good thing.
You can more easily re-invent yourself in the public eye.
Ossoff comes off less word salady than Kamala, and less slick than Newsom...but camera-ready and naturally adept at speaking like Obama...With the same sort of empty-suit and record to boot, where people can just project whatever they want onto him.
Newsom’s record is too developed. Even liberals can see that CA is a disaster.
Speaking to supporters at a victory party, Jackson laced into his general election opponent for Georgia governor, Democrat Keisha Lance Bottoms.
“This campaign was never about me,” Jackson said. “It was always been about the people of Georgia, especially those who feel unheard by the powerful. Tonight belongs to you. Now the primary is over, and the general election begins.
“Georgia cannot afford to get this wrong,” he continued. “We face Keisha Lance Bottoms, the former mayor of Atlanta. Keisha Lance Bottoms did such a bad job as mayor, she didn’t even run for re-election. She would be an absolute disaster for Georgia.”
Play up his wonderful Abrahamic religion and those Dems will run away like scalded dogs
Well, Josh Shapiro is also quite the contender...I think he’d have a harder time than Ossoff...
Dems will not nominate a Jew for president, no way.
