Bottom line. When stresses exceed 2.6, there is a big earthquake is southern California inland of LA east of the El Cajon Pass. When stresses exceed 3.0 out there, one he’ll of a large earthquake occurs out there.

Stresses are now 3.1 to 3.2.

All holy hell is expected.

How are they measuring that and what are the units?

There is an obvious contradiction in your statement. If it occurs when > 2.6, then why not occur if currently > 3? Since quakes release stress, 2.6 would be an upper limit.
