Kate Winslet, 50, reveals why she ‘hasn’t got anything’ done to her face as she slams plastic surgery
NY Post ^ | December 2025 | Eric Todisco

Kate Winslet is proud to say she’s aging naturally.

The “Titanic” actress, 50, weighed in on the topic of plastic surgery as she confirmed that she “hasn’t got anything” done or injected into her face...

Winslet called it “devastating” that so many people, specifically other women in Hollywood, are undergoing cosmetic procedures and using weight loss drugs...

“Some are making choices to be themselves, others do everything they can to not be themselves,” the Oscar winner continued. “And do they know what they are putting in? The disregard for one’s health is terrifying. It bothers me now more than ever. It is f–king chaos out there.”

Winslet noted that she’s upset ... by “people who save up for Botox or the shit they put in their lips.”

“My favorite thing is when your hands get old,” she said, after showing the reporter lines on her face to prove she hasn’t gotten botox. “That’s life, in your hands.”

“Some of the most beautiful women I know are over 70 and what upsets me is that young women have no concept of what being beautiful actually is,” she shared.

To support her argument, the “Mare of Easttown” star mentioned seeing a young woman on a BBC news article about a car crash who “looked like a cartoon.”

Winslet also confirmed that she still takes public transportation in London and has noticed nobody looks up from their phones.

“It’s heartbreaking,” she said. “Nobody’s looking into the f—ing world any more.”

Good for her. I’m glad SOMEONE is speaking up about the damage actors/actresses are doing to themselves. The latest pictures of Demi Moore, Emma Stone and Olivia Wilde are proof of that. I’m happy that she’s taking this stance and I hope others will follow her lead.

Probably a certain amount of botox there, but at least no cutting or implants.

UV ages all carbon-based materials. Wear sunscreen and stay out of the sun.

No make up?

No film make up?

If so, good show. ✅

I wonder why she feels so entitled to judge others.

Because she has God-given powers of reasoning and judgement, and is trying to use them to help others.

People have every right to do what they please to their own bodies [...]

People also have a right to express their opinions - as you are doing.

Regards,

"I still utter the “F” word for deliberate effect in closed circles, but I no longer cuss the way I used to. I feel shame when I let it get the better of me."

Thanks for sharing, and thank you for your service. There's the old saying: "He swears like a drunken soldier." That's me, although I don't drink. It's a good thing I'm old, and about the only time I go anywhere is to doctor appointments and the grocery store. I still know how to behave in public.

I still use the F word with the one couple that I remain friends with. All the others have passed, and I say it when I'm visiting my niece and her family, because they say it too. And of course I use it at home, where I'm basically alone, except for my youngest son of 55 who lives with me because of health problems. He never paid attention to what I said when he was a kid, and still doesn't. It is amazing how easily it rolls off the tongue. In the prison, every other word you spoke included the F word. I'm not that bad anymore, having been out of that environment for so long.

Re: Cussing

I taught Middle School math for a while. That age group are basically aliens.

I had lots of fun demonstrating that what leaves your own mouth is a choice. My favorite was:

“If can’t say anything nice, just shut the front door.”

The first time in front of the class is always fun, as they thinking I am going to curse. Each new semester/school year was another first time. One year, some of students would say it in the hallways, louder, but not too loud. “Hey, teacher, shut the front door!”

A new Principal asked just what the hell was going on. I explained, and he said “you know, some of these are telling you off.” I replied, at least they aren’t cursing.

There's nothing wrong with upkeep, but some celebrities take the cosmetic work too far.

Then, a celebrity who ages naturally is criticized.

For example, actress Rachel Ward, 68.

Recently, Rachel was criticized for her older appearance. She responded that she's happy the way she is.

She and her husband raised a family, and now in their golden years, they run their farm and enjoy their time with their grandchildren. That's a good life.

Compare her to Madonna, 67.

Given a choice between one or the other, I'd rather age like Rachel.

"Cussing is my only 'vice'. It was handed down from my parents and all of my siblings can curse. I’ve worked hard my entire life to curtail it…but it appears to be so ingrained."

My parents swore, but I never heard the F word come out of their mouths. My father came here from Holland in 1913 when he was 8. He used to swear in Dutch, so we never knew what he said. I was the baby, so probably heard my siblings too. It wasn't until I was much older that I picked up the F word.

Unfortunately I said it in front of my youngest son Jason one time too many. We were in the checkout lane in a grocery store one day. His older brother's nickname was "Boo," and he was picking on Jason who was seated in the child seat in the cart. Jason suddenly screamed out: "Boo, you dum-dum f***er you!! There was dead silence in the store. I was so embarrassed. Got out of there as fast as I could.

"It’s low class and unchristian."

Then I'm happy to be low class like President Trump. I'm heading toward 80. At this point in my life, I don't give a crap what anybody thinks of me. I don't tell other people how to live their lives, and I don't expect them to tell me how to live mine. I had two parents. They died a long time ago.

I agree with her. I hate the Hollywood lips that so many women on the screen have. I don’t know why they think that talking between strips of raw beef liver is somehow sexier than the lips they were born with.

>> Cussing is a sign of low intellect, Kate.

I agree with you in general... but cusswords aside, I like the thrust of her comments. Considering she’s Hollyweird, I find her point of view refreshing.

Yes - but when they offer unsolicited opinions on the choices others make with their own bodies, they are commonly known as obnoxious hags who can't mind their own business.

‘zackly.

And not just Hollywood — a whole passel of “influencers” think those liver lips are what they need. Exhibit A: Donald Trump Jr.’s ex Kimberly Guilfoyle. Gag me! Why??
