That is not the same school I attended.
The communists have taken over.........
I told you you should have gone to Santa Clara with me, but nooooo, you had to go to Stanford
It's gotten so bad with DEI and the elimination of entrance standards that even the nut case identity politics and cultural Marxist profs in the gender and racial studies departments were appalled by the quality and lack of skills of incoming freshman
Stanford was admitting some really low IQ, poorly prepared students: When they banned standardized tests like SAT they relied solely on GPA and the fluff .However, the DEI zealots in admissions made sure to admit students from the preferred racial, ethnic or social economic groups. This often meant that they were admitting the 4.5 GPA , straight A cream of the crop top students from our stellar inner city public schools where the students are reading at the 6 th grade level with very low reading comprehension and lack even basic arithmetic skills
The stories I have heard from colleagues are priceless.
The DEI admits tend to gravitate towards the DEI coursework and majors where the primary requisites for success are agreeing with the teachers ideology and mastering the dense, pseudo intellectual jargon that is their stock in trade
The new DEI students have neither the cognitive abilities nor the academic achievement level to make it in Stanford classes so they blame systemic racism and discrimination. By DEI staff for their failures: The thought of thees people who created and nurtured our modern entitled racial grievances culture being accused of racism and discrimination by the Frankenstein monsters they themselves created is just too good to be true
It's one thing to chant hey, hey , ho , ho Western Civ has got to go to fawning media an the campus mall, but it's a another thing to have uncivilized neo barbarians student busting down the class room doors to their classrooms and shouting them down as racist oppressors
Stanford has reinstated SAT and other standardized tests but it has a long way to go before it regains the high standards it was known for.
To Stanford's credit, unlike Harvard or the rest of the Ivy schools, they are voluntary admitting their mistakes and taking at least some corrective action
Still, if you are a white male it's tough - under 9% of recent Stanford admits are white male despite the fact that white males make up 30% of the US population
