James Talarico: There's been a lot of talk in this race about what it means to be a real man.
Recently on the campaign trail I told the story of my adoptive dad, Mark Talarico. Every Saturday morning, he would mow our lawn, and then without anyone asking him to, he would go next door and mow our neighbor's lawn because she was a widow. My dad never talked about it — he just did it, because that's what a man does.

I’m betting that James has never mowed a lawn and never will mow a lawn. That might require breaking a sweat with manual labor.

That said, just when you start to wonder if the rat party can sink any lower (than Jasmine Crockett) with their candidates... they show you they can and do.

Not to defend this wanna-be leader but in my mind a Real Man does not brag about his accomplishments.
A real man is humble.
A real man is not a braggart.
As a campaigning politician you do have to talk about your accomplishments in previous roles as a leader but not your accomplishments as a man.
There was a man I worked with that earned the moniker ‘I-Bob’ because of his daily story telling of his accomplishments in life. No matter what you may have done in life, he did it first and he did it better.
Yaa, that’s the ticket.
A political campaign is basically a job interview. Tell me what you have done that qualifies you to do the job you a seeking. Leave it to others to tell us what kind of person you are. If no one steps up to do that, it tells us who you are.
And the fact that he never married kind of tells us who he is as well.
The day I turned 18 (54 years ago), my stepfather told me I could grab a beer from the fridge anytime I wanted. His generation acknowledged that 18 was the age of adulthood, with the rights and responsibilities that go with it.
In the predominantly German Lutheran/Catholic town I grew up in my friends as young 13 were grabbing beers from the fridge in the garage.
I'm sure he's just as good at mowing the lawn as Tim Walz is changing an air filter.
He is not even trying to appeal to manliness in Texas — as thin on the ground that is nowadays.
Buttgig got into office because of LuggButt community, and then bought a child. This turd can easily outdo that and the blue cites in Texas will rave about him.
