Everyone badmouthing soccer fails to understand the boost in economic and cultural morale the World Cup is offering states and local businesses!

I thought the guy was from Scotland and he and his crew drank the flight dry of beer and had to resort to drinking wine?
Normally, the only people who ask us to turn one of the TVs to a soccer game are Mexicanny looking customers but last night there were people of all colors interested in the Korea vs Czech Republic match.
Plus, I learned a couple of fascinating things about soccer talking to some customers. For instance, soccer teams have coaches. And, they run "plays". So they're not out there just running around willy-nilly hoping for the ball to go into the net.
I'm off tonight but I might go in to watch the USA vs Paraguay game just for the atmosphere.
If it’s anything like around me (S.E. Michigan), it’s a great time to go to the bar and watch the USA games.

I played soccer and even the refs don’t fully understand the rules. I was playing fullback and a guy raced by us with the ball and I pointed at him. They called him for offsides. He wasn’t offsides.
I think they only call offsides when someone scores a goal.
