Two adults were arrested by ICE agents at a Maryland preschool graduation ceremony, drawing condemnation from top elected officials in the state.
Children were allegedly heard 'screaming' when the arrests took place on Thursday in the parking lot of Commodore John Rodgers Elementary School in Baltimore.
Video taken by a witness shows two agents holding a man down on the pavement as they tried to get his arms behind his back so they could cuff him, while the woman recording shouted, 'This is school property! It's against the law!'
Last month, the City of Baltimore signed an emergency bill prohibiting federal agents from operating and conducting arrests in 'sensitive locations like public schools.'
Another video taken by a witness from a different angle shows the agents taking a woman into custody after the man was arrested as parents and young children scurry by.
School officials told Maryland Senate President Bill Ferguson that the people who were arrested drove into the parking lot while being pursued by ICE agents.
In a video Ferguson posted to X, he said that the arrested individuals had their children in the backseat, who screamed as their parents were ripped from the car.
The state senator added that 'heroic educators' brought the children inside the school as the arrest took place, 'to try to protect them from these unbelievable and out-of-control federal agents.' The agents quickly left after taking the parents into custody.

I wonder if these are the optics they really want?
I mean they could be I can see some scenarios where they might want to do it, but if I were in charge I still probably would not.
Children lear the law. Always a good thing.
They want the bennies without following the law.
Because laws are for the native chumps.
I voted for this. And will vote for more of it this coming Tuesday and again in November.
Who would’ve thought that they would hear crying at a preschool graduation.
Sounds like the arrestee was not attending the ceremony but thought, perhaps, they could avoid arrest.
But , really, a preschool graduation? Just another phoney baloney excuse for a feel good participation trophy.
Every time a child cries because an illegal is arrested, an angel earns its wings, I understand.
Usually, it’s a fight between street hockey teams at preschool graduations.
I was hoping they were deporting some of the kids.
Hey sweetheart, ICE can arrest anywhere they can find you. Something called the Spupremacy Clause in the Constitution.
Garbage headline. They drove into the school parking lot probably figuring they’d get a public sob story created around them.
They know how to play the game.
while the woman recording shouted, ‘This is school property! It’s against the law!’
Does this woman support laws or not?
Do you think anyone believes the optics the Daily Fail is trying to impose here?
I sure don’t.
I feel for the children but laws are meant to ensure the safety for all of society. When the laws aren’t followed and if they aren’t enforced, they mean nothing and all of society will eventually suffer. Lessons aren’t cheap.
I voted for this and I’d do it again and again.
Maybe that's a big part of our problem... People who think like you HAVE been in charge.
This problem can never be fixed if we're afraid to stand up for the rule of law.
They’re not separating families... The kids can go with them.
Preschool graduation?
