@SenLummis
Big Banks debanked President Trump—and many others in America—because they didn't agree with their politics.
We can never go back to Biden's Operation Chokepoint 2.0 policies.
This should be investigated.

You simply can't get by without a bank account.
Anyone here got any stories of this happening?
More show committee hearings where nothing ever happens to the criminals.
Yes. Lummis is on the banking committee but it’s actually the Justice Dept. who is looking into this
And prosecuted.
These practices are violations of human rights. This has been going on since the Clinton administration.
It is long past time that it comes to and end.
This is political strong arm tactics at its worst.
Turnabout is fair play.
“Investigate” all you want. As soon as a Democrat seizes the White House again, they will start it back up.
Yup....the HSA i had through my company was administered by Bank of America- one of the banks notorious for this type of thing...
Now- i was never debanked but two, maybe three years ago when the AG’s from about 15 states filed a complaint to multiple financial institutions about debanking based on political or religious affiliation, BOA, one of the companies who received the letter, had a large conference call touting the advantages of HSA’s in retirement planning.
During the conference call i brought up my concerns about being debanked based on my political leanings and wanted guarantees it would never happen to me or my HSA.
They were well aware of my politics as i continually fought against all the DEI in the company i worked for, Prudential.
BOA not only refused to answer my question yet completely ignored my question despite the fact i asked it several times. The ignored me despite the fact i brought up the letter sent to the CEO of BOA from state AG’s.
I think forcing banks to lend money to people who don’t pay it back is bad policy.
Open up more than one bank account and keep them separate. I have 6 right now and plan to have 10 by retirement. I use different ones for different things. Keeps you from being jammed up if one is closed or you have to cancel your debit card and wait for a new one for 10 days.
Join a credit union and tell the big banks to stuff it.
If the government fines banks huge amounts for providing accounts to dubious customers, you can bet the banks will lean over backwards to avoid anyone who isn’t squeaky clean.
That is not what debanking is- debanking is purposely closing a legitimate account, or refusing to do business, due to one’s political or religious beliefs (individual or organization). Much of this started with gun shops and legit gun dealers during the obama administration, who called it “operation choke point”
