Karmelo Anthony was sentenced to 35 years in prison for murdering 17-year-old Austin Metcalf. However, his time in prison will begin in isolation.
According to a report from TMZ Sports, a representative for the Collin County Jail confirms that, for now, Anthony will be held in a remote part of the jail away from the general population, out of concern for his safety.
“We’re told the jail is taking appropriate steps to ensure the safety and security of all inmates in the facility … but the rep declined to comment on why Anthony specifically is being kept in isolation,” TMZ Sports reports.
Anthony was found guilty of murder for the April 2, 2025, killing of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf.

I believe it’s just the county jail and not the actual state correctional institution that he’ll be spending decades at
He show gots a pretty mouf...
That’s ony until his show trial.
Because you are showing that you are weak and vulnerable.
Prey for the predators.
Until he proves that he is willing to fight, he will have to trade off sexual favours for protection.
Showing weakness is the worst thing to do when going to prison.
Not sure a gang would take him. He can’t put any work in. He’s too small. He’s going to be a victim his entire time in.
And then there’s sex of course. :-)
I hope that he’s sitting alone in his cell crying like a little girl.
The AN will be watching and waiting for him where ever he ends up.
Special treatment. Derrick Chauvin was thrown Into general population, evidently in the hopes he would be murdered because he nearly was having been stabbed several times.
He can always join a religious group like the Nation of Islam, which is active in prisons. Inmates either find religion behind bars, or join a gang for protection. Just because he's small, doesn't mean that they wouldn't take him in, just so they can extort him.
He has many things.
He deserves nothing.
He should not see the light of day nor breathe air!
35 Years, for violent murder?
That sentence is an insult to law abiding citizens.
I like Fats Dominos version............... (He wrote it along with Dave Bartholomew)

Has Luigi been convicted?
I read somewhere where he had been in trouble for fights at school. Sometimes small guys adopt a tough guy approach.
His parents spent the bulk of it already on a new Cadillac and a fancy house. Karmelo had to use a public defender.
I don’t think so, otherwise, I’d be hearing more fanfare about it.
Grade inflation is rampant.
Prison justice just got served locally.
He killed a baby girl.
Holy cow.
If Karmelo Anthony doesn’t find the Lord, his fate will be for eternity.
