Karmelo should be swinging by the nearest tree already if there was any true justice
Karmello is enjoying his first day of incarceration eating a baloney sammich and avoiding shower call. 😏
On June 9–10, 2026, a Collin County, Texas jury convicted the 19-year-old of murder in the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf at a high school track meet in Frisco, Texas (April 2025). He was immediately sentenced to 35 years in prison and remanded to the custody of the Collin County Sheriff's Office.
He was booked into the Collin County Jail following sentencing (a new booking photo was released).
He has filed a notice of appeal (standard in such cases), but this does not affect his current custody status.
He has been in custody since shortly after the 2025 incident, with the recent conviction and sentencing formalizing his long-term imprisonment (parole eligibility after about 17.5 years).

Caramelo was sobbing after the verdict and his attorney asked for a few minutes alone with his client to help him compose himself and the judge responded that things were different for Caramelo now and the ‘cuffs were applied and he was escorted put of the courtroom.
From what I read, he is in the County jail, isolated from other inmates for his safety.
Presumably the Sheriff wants to deliver him to the State alive and with no basis for complaints. Suicide watch?
