“We took out, the other night, 22 ships, late at night, with no lights, because they don’t have any radar, because we blasted the crap out of it,” Trump continued, adding: We took it, that’s why oil is $85 a barrel. I mean, you take a look.”
That’s an utterly awful take?
The verbiage about the war is a re-hash of what we’ve been hearing for months, and it does nothing to alleviate investors’ (and voters’) real concerns about inflation.
You can parse “I love the inflation” till you’re blue in the face, but it’ll still be a staggeringly out-of-touch comment.
Yes, and you can expect to see it repeated ad infinitum in the weeks before the midterms. Tactless and stupid thing to say; the commercials are in production as I write this.
No, it’s just delusional
Dynoman — thanks for standing strong. I’ll swear, we’ve got people on this board flapping in the breeze.
In the Valley Forge days of the Revolution, people were climbing down Washington’s throat, saying how stupid he was. Thomas Paine had some words for them:
“These are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of his country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman.”
I sometimes think there are people on here who’d like nothing better than to see our War Horse shot right out from under us.
