Even ‘Trust the Election’ Pundits Are Suspicious
American Thinker ^ | 10 Jun, 2026 | J.B. Shurk

California Democrats have rigged another election, and outsider Spencer Pratt has been bumped from the Los Angeles mayoral race. On Election Day, Pratt’s lead over third-place Nithya Raman was so large that she publicly cried over her loss. After a week of mail-in-ballot shenanigans, Raman has surged to secure a coveted spot on the November ballot — a statistical improbability in any jurisdiction familiar with arithmetic and basic ethics.

This “come from behind victory” has made it difficult for the usual election-fraud-deniers to pretend that California’s elections are free, fair, legal, or remotely based in reality. I noticed that National Review writer Dan McLaughlin — who spent a lot of time after 2020’s stolen election defending Joe Biden’s “victory” — felt compelled to make this small concession: “I’m suspicious of the voting in LA. For now, in the absence of evidence, that’s just vague suspicion unsupported by proof, but the vote-counting process reeks.”

I wrote a number of essays describing the historic irregularities of the 2020 election after Joe Biden supposedly “won” more than fifteen million extra votes than Barack Obama had secured in his re-election victory. In the 2020 election, President Trump won almost every traditional bellwether county across the country by double-digits. He expanded his voter support in almost every demographic and did better with black voters than any Republican since Eisenhower. He exceeded expectations in swing states. Economic variables and historic precedent strongly forecast a Trump victory. It was entirely reasonable to look at the statistical improbabilities of the 2020 election outcome (another race that was “decided” more than four days after Election “Day”) and conclude that the numbers did not make sense. It was entirely appropriate for Americans to gather outside the Capitol on January 6, 2021, and demand that Congress refrain from certifying an election

You can’t prove your milk was watered down, but it makes you suspicious when you find a trout.

This outrage will force Senate Republicans to quit fooling around, set the filibuster aside, and pass the critically important SAVE Act.

I kid, of course. The Senate leadership *might* issue a statement of concern. Then it’s off to the country club for a round of golf and drinks afterwards.
🙁

The only people who are claiming the LA mayor election isn’t rigged are Democrats who rigged the election and those in the media who carry water for the Democrats.

It’s the Save Act or nothing. This country cannot continue with a split between states where elections are rigged and states where elections are free and fair.

This is exactly as the communists wanted it. Bold cheating eliminating a threat to the party. They did it, they proved they can do it anytime they want, and have proven the federal government is impotent when it comes to CA elections.

Mass mailing of ballots and ballot harvesting is where the fraud takes place.

So true - you don't have a representative republic without fair elections. Its just a non starter. Until we do its all just window dressing for the Kabuki theater with ugly actors.

What could possible go wrong?

“They did it, they proved they can do it anytime they want, and have proven the federal government is impotent when it comes to CA elections.”

It has been suggested that the Fed Congress refuse to seat reps from states that conduct vote-by-mail elections most of which are fraudulent. I do not think that is an optimal solution but since the Constitution gives the states the right to conduct elections in any way the state chooses, I see no other way.

OTOH I don’t believe the constitution guarantees that any state’s reps must be seated in Congress. That activity would most certainly be poo-pooed by the USSC because the seated states would be making law that affects all states. This would likely lead to secession and the end of the USA as we know it.

Ummm, we’re on our way there. The communists will gain power and gut the nation while Republicans wring their hands, while taking in donor money.

Seems like a no-brainer, but I am convinced both parties really love the way things are run. The Republicans are the party of the losers, and like losing, being the opposition. I think Newt G waxed on that.

Newsome could say publicly, “Of course our elections are managed to prevent outcomes that would be a danger to Our Democracy,” and nothing would be corrected. It is so thoroughly common knowledge now that that statement would elicit a yawn.

What would be the effect of voter ID on California elections, where the laws themselves invite massive ballot fraud?

You’re right. A voter ID law would just be a necessary first step. But most Republicans leaders don’t even want to take that first step.

No money in it, I guess.

“statistical improbabilities” is not evidence, not proof.
It is reason to investigate and look for evidence.

In GA 3,000 of the 12,000 vote difference in 2020 was PROVEN vote fraud for one type of vote fraud. In the other 9,000 there are a couple anecdotes. But NOBODY has done the hard, tedious leg work to find evidence, let alone proof, of the other 9,000.

In 2020 both major party candidates were unpopular. The 3d party vote would be expected to be high. In my experience in IL, a major area of vote counter fraud is the shifting of votes from the 3d party candidate to the preferred major party candidate. Did it happen in GA? We don’t know.

Anecdotes show the possibility of Vote Harvester Fraud. I often mention the anecdote that involved me. But possibility is not evidence; it is not proof. Apparently nobody did the tedious, thankless boring work necessary to find evidence and proof. Now 6 years after 2020, it is near impossible to find the proof.
