California Primary Election 2026: A Reflection
American Thinker ^ | 9 Jun, 2026 | Arthur Schaper

The California Election 2026 primary is over.

And yet, it’s not over, because the counting continues.

Democrat leaders will justify the long counting period because they emphasize creating as much ease as possible for everyone to vote. Everyone gets a mail-in ballot, and everyone can vote from wherever they please in the state. A Los Angeles County resident can vote in Orange County or elsewhere in the state, and they can even vote with a provisional ballot if they don’t bring the original ballot with them.

The state allows ballots to be counted up to seven days after Election Day, provided that the ballots are postmarked on Election Day.

It’s Election Day, as Justice Alito commented in a recent Supreme Court case, which should very shortly upend this month-and-a-half of counting long after Election Day in wayward states.

Republicans and anyone with common sense are right to call foul on this inordinate amount of time to collect and count ballots. It’s hard to trust an election system when ballots can keep rolling in day after day, and certain margins start flipping seats here and there. Republicans have benefited from sudden changes in the voting, but Democrats by and large benefit even more. It’s not a sound, integrated system.

Thankfully, the federal government is investigating the election centers. The California Post exposed the LA County voting center for having only one person manning a desk while all the other desks sat empty, all with a $336 million budget! After the exposé, lots of employees showed up to start counting ballots.

Let’s set aside the recriminations about voter fraud, and let’s assume the results as they stand statewide will remain relatively stable. Who are the winners and losers on California’s Primary Election Night 2026?

Let’s start with the biggest winner: Trump.

The system in California is set up to make fraud difficult to detect. It is on purpose.

The system IS fraud for everyone to see.

Mail out ballots to anyone and everyone.

Have Election Day.

Magic happens in the days and weeks that follow. You’ll know who didn’t vote on Election Day. Whoever didn’t vote, will now vote (whether they know it or not) and they will now vote in a proportion to allow the preferred candidate to either increase the lead or overtake the non-preferred candidate.

It’s “in your face” and done with contempt.

“It’s “in your face” and done with contempt.”

Totally agree. And when, not if, when the Dems get control of the federal government, they will do all they can to make national elections look like CA.

Something nobody is noticing:

When California Democrats have neither the NEED nor the TIME to commit their ballot harvesting vote fraud.... then vote fraud doesn’t occur and we are seeing a clear example of that right now.

In addition to the primary elections in CA, last Tuesday there was a special election in CD-1 to replace deceased Republican Doug LaMalfa.

Because that election was held under the OLD (pre-gerrymander) district lines, the GOP was heavily favored to hold the seat so there was no NEED for fraud.

As of election night the Republican had about 62.000 votes and 62.2%. An easy win. Because that election, unlike the primary, is legally required to be finalized relatively quickly (by June 11) there was no TIME for their fraud. Or not enough time, anyway.

By what is surely just an odd coincidence, here we are a week later and the Republican has over 120,000 votes — and the exact same 62.2% share of the vote.

It’s as if when only legit votes are counted, we get a legit result and not some dramatic impossible surge for the Party of Fraud.

Republicans have benefited from sudden changes in the voting, ...

Please provide the Republican candidates who have benefited from days on end ballot counting.

The Democrats in California just proved live voters don’t need to vote any more as the dead voters decide who wins.

Hubby and I had that conversation before the election. I keep voting but seriously wonder why. He said so you still have the right to complain and you cancel out someone else’s vote. Since when does that matter? I am at the point where I despise both parties. There are very few people who actually deserve my vote.

All that could possibly mean is “Republican vote totals go up after election day too” (just nowhere near as much as Democrat totals do though).

This corrupt system in California has been in place since 2018 and the next Republican who comes from behind after election night, dislodges a Democrat and wins an election will be the first one.

And for all the reasons mentioned in this article, that is why we absolutely need to have the SAVE ACT become law.

SAVE ACT makes it EASY TO VOTE and HARD TO CHEAT.

Current laws in California and some other states MAKE IT EASY TO CHEAT and HARD TO PROSECUTE CHEATERS.

And I should note that the corruption of election laws began in the Western States. Namely, California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Utah, Arizona, Colorado.

And the corruption will continue moving east.

I think that's because that's where the invasion started. It wasn't just Mexicans that were coming across that border, there were some seriously nefarious people coming into our country. And a lot of them are running for political offices all around our nation.!! :(

I quit voting my last 15 years living in California, before retiring to Tennessee after the California Covid shut down.

I view voting as a mandatory obligation stemming from my God-given Rights codified in the US Constituional.

Generally, voting is a mandatory duty whether I want to do it or not.

That said, I quit voting my last 2 decades in California. It was futile. I lost every election for a candidate or an issue and when I won, it was just very incidental to what the Democrats wanted, such as a bond issued for a new dam, drinking water or to care for military Veterans. Some such thing that usually wins with 95% of the vote.

Otherwise, I lost continually because my vote was swamped by the Democrats. It became a futile, non-sensical demonstration of duty beating my head against the brick wall of the Democrat monopoly.

So I have no regret exercising the wisdom to quit voting my last 15 years in California. I came to realize it was just a form of mild mental retardation to think a conservative’s vote has any influence whatsoever in California local or statewide elections.

Here in Tennessee, it is the exact opposite. As fast as Leftists are moving to the Nashville area and flipping that city Socialist, the rest of Tennessee state is seeing a much larger influx of disgruntled conservatives fleeing the oppression of blue states.

Tennessee is getting redder. My vote counts here. Here in TN, it is the Democrats who are voting in complete futility, thinking their vote has any influence here at all. I really wish they would all move to California.
