Because Sorsby sued the sued the NCAA for breach of contract and antitrust. The NCAA operates as a voluntary association of private colleges and universities and should absolutely be legally vulnerable to several types of lawsuits:

Interesting. Do college football players sign contracts? I guess they do. If so, perhaps the NCAA was negligent by not including an anti-gambling clause.

“Breach of contract”? Does that “contract” ever say that if you bet on games where your own action determines the outcome, you are in violation of the contract?

This guy suing tells me that he has NOT repented or recognized how his behavior destroys the whole game. He will do it again. Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting.

I hope Texas Tech can’t find anybody who is willing to play them. Then let them sue this judge.
