Cops, graduates and parents were seen scuffling after a California high school graduation ceremony – and the melee ended up with four arrests.
The aftermath of Kerman High School’s ceremony descended into chaos Thursday over an argument that started between one senior and another boy in the parking lot, KFSN reported.
The senior, who was on probation, was detained before the situation escalated.
“It should have stopped there, but at some point, they had family members, emotions are high, decided to insert themselves into that situation,” Kerman Police Lieutenant Wil Barcoma said.
A teenage girl hit one officer and tried to resist being arrested, according to Barcoma.
The four people were jailed over their roles in the melee. The senior and the other boy were charged with challenging to fight.
The senior was also charged with violating court orders and obstruction. His mom was charged with resisting a police officer.

“Blue blazers everywhere”
LOL!
I had to look up Kerman. It’s west of Fresno so they act like LA trash they’re probably the kids of the farm workers there.
Not unusual, many kids held back a year for sports reasons. Southlake ISD is noted for that.
When my youngest son was in middle school, his 7th grade football team trailed 35-0 after the first quarter to a Southlake team. It was obvious...their players were a head taller and 25+ pounds in weight.
A new resident sitting next to me asked me, "what's going on?" I laughed and said, we're playing against 8th graders. Most of the other team's players were held back a year for exactly this reason. Not one of the Southlake parents sitting around us said a damn thing.
My birthday's in May, so I was one of the younger kids in my graduating class. I think how things might have been different had my parents done the same thing. However, I was just a regular kid, stopped at JV baseball and basketball.
It's not rocket science, Boo-boo.
The whole Central Valley is nothing but anchor babies now.
The article is pretty vague about where this happened. Kernan is a small town in California’s Central Valley just east of Fresno. Population 16K, Hispanic/Latino the largest demographic at 78%.

Unfortunately, cultural appropriation is about a lot more than hairstyles and music.
I’ve lost count of the graduations - from pre-school - grade 12 that have ended this way by “those people.”
Of course the media have blurred or obscured the pictures - as if we didn’t already know who started and escalated the fight.
According to “Great Schools,” Kerman High School is:
Hispanic: 87%
White: 7%
Black 1%
My money is on the 1% as to who started the fight.
Yes, and ready to step into a government job or a business that needs to fulfill DEI requirements.
Towns In California’s Central Valley suffer from serious poverty.
Out time the taco benders got in in the action!
Free Republic is glitchy this morning.
Do we have to look or do we just know know? 🙄

Either that or the more athletic kids also happen to be stupid.
Perhaps, but Southlake is a very upscale community in North Texas. I'd call it upper middle class/bordering on wealthy.
The burb I live in is middle class (Valley Ranch/Irving), but the demographics are over 50% South Asian (H-1Bs working in Dallas/Las Colinas).
Must be on probation with the local police. Glad it’s not double secret probation with the Dean of Students, Dean Woemer.
