Yep. The lab people in every food manufacturer I have ever worked with have gone the extra mile to make sure that everything that left the plant was not toxic.

Because it was food.

Not much you could do about things after they left the dock but by gum you could make sure any mishandling or contamination did not happen on YOUR watch.
