There is something seriously wrong with a government, and its people, when they cannot count votes in what one would expect to be a reasonable time frame. What's a reasonable time frame? France, as an example, can say who won a presidential election by early morning of the next day, at the latest. In CA, as of right now, only about 58% of some estimated 8 million plus votes have been counted. And the LA primary for mayor? Still counting. I'll assume that this counting is not even by hand (as in France, I believe) but by "sophisticated" machines, and still, no complete results. Would it be any faster if hand counted?
It should pass. It remains to be seen how much voter fraud will be used on an initiative meant to greatly limit voter fraud.
And then there are the California judges who have overruled the will of the people in that state, and once again invalidate an initiative passed by the people.
It's all by design. This is how we get screwed in every election here. It's also why we'll never get the power to correct this travesty.
I heard on the radio today the estimate is that it will take 37 days to count.
It takes a day or three to figure out how many votes need to be “made up” in order for the DemoKKKrats to win.
Yeah, the "civil rights" groups and "community organizers" are gearing up for a fight. I hate these people.
King County counts for like two hours on election night - then goes home.
After that, they count only during regular work hours, on regular business days.
Most ballots are mailed out and mailed in.
It can take weeks to resolve a close election.
Not that it matters.
All the close elections are between card carrying Socialists.
For which year?
In some states, like Maine, in larger cities and towns, they begin processing the ballots before election day. That is the verify that the ballot envelope received has been properly signed and dated, and that it matches the name on the voter rolls. They then open the envelopes and throw them in one box and the ballots in another which esentially mixes so you don’t know how someone voted. They then take these boxes of ballots and put them in flat piles to feed through the voting machines. They do not run a tape on these until the end of the night on election day after all of the precents have reported that none of the absentees recived on the day before and election day did not vote in person. They then run the last batch and run the central polling results.
This is how it is done in Portland, Maine, which for all the screaming about election fraud, is very above board on this process. You can sit to your hearts content and watch it all play out.
In France, like in any other European countries or Japan, Korea... all ballots are counted BY HAND. There is no early vote and no vote by mail. Vote by procuration is possible but it’s such a hassle it’s very rarely used. Electronic machines, whether for registering or for counting votes are forbidden (not that Macron and his WEF handlers haven’t tried and tried). Photo ID (carte d’identité nationale) is absolutely required.
Yet, with not 30, not 10, not 2 but just one day vote, the results are known before midnight (next morning results would be seen as highly suspicious), for any local or national election.
So the voting system in the USA is absurd on every level and can only exist to allow cheating and discrediting the process of voting itself.
They have to keep finding ballots and counting until the democrats win. That’s what the DNC says is democracy.
They always ask voters during elections for state constitutional amendments how they want their elections to be run. That’s why they have jungle primaries and that’s why they get seven days after elections to get their ballots in. As conservatives, state rights can be a good thing or a bad thing but as a collective we believe in state rights.
Florida is able to process ballots immediately when they get them. California can’t process ballots until after the polls closed. As a Florida resident, I’m certainly glad we do it our way.
Not just counting votes they have but they’re still allowing votes to come in... up to 5 days after election day.
California has sunk way past the the stage of banana Republic. More like Saddam’s Iraq.
