On May 30th, a 17-year-old girl was arrested for allegedly stabbing three horses at a National Barrel Horse Association (NBHA) barrel racing event in Las Vegas.
The incident, which occurred early that morning, happened at the South Point Arena & Equestrian Center during the NBHA Professional’s Choice Las Vegas Super Show.
According to police, the suspect had access to the barn where the horses were held awaiting competition, and three horses were "intentionally injured with a sharp object."
The Las Vegas Metro Police Department said in a statement, "On May 30, 2026, at approximately 2:07 a.m., LVMPD Communications received a report that a horse had been injured at a barn located in the 9700 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard. Patrol officers arrived and learned that three horses had been intentionally injured with a sharp object."
"The LVMPD Animal Cruelty Section was notified and responded to the scene. Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified a teenage girl as a possible suspect. The teen had access to the barn, and investigators believe she may have used a knife to inflict multiple injuries to the horses."
"While the injuries are not considered life-threatening, they are expected to prevent the horses from competing."
"Detectives located the teen at a nearby hotel and took her into custody without incident. She was transported to Clark County Juvenile Hall, where she was booked for 12 counts of Willful/Malicious Kill/Maim/Torture Animal – Horse and three counts of Felony Malicious Destruction of Private Property over $5K."
The injuries, while serious, one horse was stabbed six times, they do not appear to be not life-threatening. The horses received stitches, antibiotics, and are recovering, though they remain traumatized and have been sidelined from competition.
NBHA shared the following statement after the violent incident: "The 2026 NBHA Professional’s Choice Vegas Super Show, held May 29–31 at the South Point Casino in Las Vegas, experienced an isolated incident during the early morning hours of Saturday, May 30, involving the mistreatment of a limited number of equine athletes by an event competitor."
"The situation was addressed immediately in coordination with the National Barrel Horse Association, the South Point Hotel & Casino Security, Metro Police, and all appropriate parties. The individual involved has been removed and placed in the care of authorities, and there is no ongoing threat of any kind."

Grippy socks vacation.
“A. Why did she have unsupervised access to these horses so close to racing time?”
I went to many, many horse shows when our daughter was competing 20-30 years ago. I don’t recall any of them having any security or entrance checks to the barn and paddock area. It was all very congenial, familial, friendly and inviting.
I gotta ask, bio girl or faggot just pretending?
LMAO Kerrigan was horse faced crybaby
I don’t understand why the first horse that was injured did not put up such a clamor that it would have been noticed,,,Was the barn empty of other people at the time?
A mule might have.
Tanya Harding, Rodeo version?
She sure was ...

Last time I saw a mouth like that, it was right in front of the gills ...
BTW Thats not Kerrigan
At most bigger events, horses are in barns and participants stay in campers or horse trailers with living quarters adjacent to but not necessarily right near the barn. Hoirses whinny and sometimes kictk stall walls and that type of noise wouldn’t have been unusual at a bigger event venue where horses are keyed up from being in a new strange place around horses they don’t know. The first attack occurred a few minutes after midnight per the security cameras at the barn. She entered the horse’s stall and stabbed him in the neck. She then called the owners (info is always posted on the stall doors) and said she had walked by and saw the horse bleeding, and thought he had hurt himself in the stall somehow. She claimed to be trying to help and the horse got loose. The horse was running around the barn area in pretty much chaos. He was captured by his owners and brought back to the stall and attended to by the veterinarian on the grounds. The teen who stabbed him was standing by acting like a concerned bystander during the time the horse was being attended to. At one point she was asked if she saw anything, and shook her head no and said she needed to go. It was at that point, 2 horses elsewhere in the barn (picture a place the size of a Super-Walmart with 150 horse stalls to give you an idea of the layout) were stabbed in their hindquarters and she left the grounds. Very shortly after this transpired, security was reviewing the camera footage and she was recognized...she was, in fact, a competitor there at this event. She was picked up 2 hours after the first attack at a nearby hotel. She’s a 17 year old white female whose name is Emily Grace. She was held without bail and released to her parents yesterday. The first horse required surgery but will be ok, and the other 2 were treated on scene.
These horses are worth tens of thousands.
May she have the ADULT sentencing thrown at her.
Tell me something I don’t know ...
You wanted a “crybaby”, I gave you one. Just not the one you thought you wanted ...
Much more here...
Ariella Phillips's barrel racing horse detail was one of three horses stabbed during a rodeo event in Las Vegas over the weekend. Phillips has posted extensively to her Facebook page about the incident and how Detail is doing. A third stabbed horse, however, underwent emergency surgery to repair muscle tissue damage.
Sick. Mentally sick.
Or greedy. There is big money in those races.............
Yeah, when I saw the thread I thought “Tonya Harding is into barrel racing now?”
>> Or greedy.
✅
I said Kerrigan dumass
I know you did.
I showed you the real crybaby. For some reason, that upsets you.
You seem to be very emotionally invested in this case. That’s a bit bizarre ...
