POTTSVILLE, Pa. -- A Schuylkill County school show put on by kindergartners was stopped short on Wednesday, following an altercation in the audience, officials say. Now police say two Pottsville men are facing charges.
Parents took off from work and arrived Wednesday morning to watch their kindergarten students' end-of-the-year concert at John S. Clarke Elementary Center.
"It's what every parent dreams to go and check out, see their cuteness. It was awesome," said Jay Rose, a parent of one of the kindergarteners performing that day.
While the students took center stage during the school day, it was a handful of parents who ended up stealing the show.
Some spectators inside the Pottsville elementary school found themselves in the middle of a melee.
"It was sheer chaos," Danielle Sclafane said. "And I was like, what is going on?"
Sclafane, a Pottsville parent and aunt of one of the kindergarteners, says she was standing right by a mom who got out of her seat to film the kids, when a man asked her to move.
"He came up and he tapped her on the shoulder aggressively and was like, 'move out of my way' very aggressively," she said. "When the song was over, her child exited the stage along with the other children. And she walked behind me, got in the guy's face and used profanity and was like, 'you don't need to effing talk to me like that.'"
Several parents say it was a scary scene. Sclafane says she watched as punches were thrown.
"When I turned around, they were, like, all on top of each other," she said. "It was just big mauling almost. The principal was on the table, and it was sheer chaos."
Kindergartner Madden Rose says she had all the moves for her concert down pat.

Could be a grandmother whoβs taking care of a grandchild.
Lots of broken families out there.
Grandparent? Great-Grandparent?
Funeral violence, backyard barbecue party violence, fast food places and now kindergarten.
Morales? Garcia?
“””Mark Morales, 32, and Angel Garcia, 50,”””

Jeff Foxworthy kid joke: “One good thing about Dad being held back again in fifth grade this year is now we’ll get to walk to school together.”

Idiocy
‘Sheer chaos’: Parents say fistfight stole show at kindergarten concert in Pottsville, as 2 men face charges. I guess those boys didn’t like each other.
The hell with their ages. The last names of the perps tell you all you need to know. Cultural enrichment from either Puerto Rico or south of the border. Crisis resolution third-world style. Goes along with easier to apologize than to first ask permission. It’s just what they do.
So was there a clear winner? Or this being Kindergarten, did both men get participation trophies?
I wasn't the one that brought up their ages. It was in the article, so there's that.

I happen to have an hispanic last name and unfortunately for you I don't fit your narrow stereotype, so there's that too.
The grammer with no grammar

Donβt forget the justice system. Felonies get dropped or reduced to misdemeanors. Then comes probation and maybe a small fine.
Folks learn what you teach them. And the lesson is that committing a crime is not a big deal.
These big productions for little children every year when they complete a grade is asinine. School year is over they go home, next year school year starts they come back. It worked for generations.
