I always heard drinking some beer was good if you had issues making enough breast milk.
Not beer. A little wine worked just fine. And only if you were really stressed. Make sure you don’t hit it too hard.

Many years ago, a grandmotherly lady gave me that wonderful advice, to drink a beer while breastfeeding. I was having a LOT of trouble “letting down”(getting it flowing). Was horribly worried I wasn’t able to provide and almost gave up. The having a beer when i sat down to feed my baby worked like a charm!
Worked so well, soon just the the sound of my baby’s cry or sitting down to feed her, everything worked perfectly and easily. God Bless that sweet older lady for sharing that wisdom with me.
I am given to understand that my mother followed that advice ... made me everything I am today. 😁
