I well remember the indie, low-budget horror flick “The Blair Witch Project.” What a stinker that was! One of the worst films ever made. And it had all the same hype. It was so bad I still remember it 27 years later!
After that was another horrible indie dystopian stinker, “The Road,” which was ten years after stinker “Blair Witch.”
I tend to remember stinkers more than good films, maybe because I resent falling for the hype and wasting my money and time.
“The Road” was too sad of an ending..................
The trailer of Obession gives a sort of cautionary dating an AWFUL vibe.
Horror films are a pretty weird niche product. There is a durable market for them, and I suspect that has to with the teens and early 20’s peeps who haven’t outgrown jump scares and gore.
Put “Paranormal, “ I think that was the whole name,in the same category.
The Road was good, and I had thought it would be impossible to turn that book into a movie, but they did.
The Road as a film was terrible. Viggo Mortensen is a phenomenal actor, but the kid who played his son was just awful.
The Road is an excellent novel, though.
Blair witch was very scary..perhaps because I grew up in an are with lots of ea st tetn woods and spooky it was late wintertowards dusk.
