She lived with the knowledge of her crime, and I assume some level of guilt and always wondering if/when she'd get busted. If she has any conscience that is.

The article doesn't say whether she has family, whether she's in decent health, etc. etc. But now at 79, assuming she's convicted, she'll get three hots and a cot for the rest of her life. She probably sees it as a mixed blessing.

And she will still get her monthly SS check deposited into her Prison Commissary account.

Its a win-win for her. Free heath care, no rent, free tv, free food, and government money to live out her remaining years
