Universal Pictures is proud to release a new original event film created and directed by Steven Spielberg. The film stars SAG winner and Oscar® nominee Emily Blunt (Oppenheimer, A Quiet Place), Emmy and Golden Globe winner Josh O’Connor (Challengers, The Crown), Oscar® winner Colin Firth (The King’s Speech, Kingsman franchise), Eve Hewson (Bad Sisters, The Perfect Couple) and two-time Oscar® nominee Colman Domingo (Sing Sing, Rustin).
Based on a story by Spielberg, the screenplay is by David Koepp, whose previous work with Spielberg includes the scripts for Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, War of the Worlds and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Combined, those films earned more than $3 billion worldwide. Koepp also wrote the script for this 2025’s Jurassic World Rebirth.
Disclosure Day is produced by five-time Academy Award® nominee Kristie Macosko Krieger (The Fabelmans, West Side Story) and by Spielberg for Amblin Entertainment. The executive producers are Adam Somner and Chris Brigham.
Steven Spielberg is one of the industry’s most successful and influential filmmakers. The top-grossing director of all time, Spielberg has helmed such blockbusters as Jaws, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, the Indiana Jones franchise and Jurassic Park.

From 2015, but I have a long memory.

What is sad for me is I have become so jaded, because of what Hollywood has spewed out, that I’m reluctant to spend my time & money to risk getting a woke lecture.

Wow, looks pretty good...and chilling.
I am always amazed at the capabilities and talent of Spielberg. The breadth and scope of things he’s done is incredible.
If the “E” stands for “Elk,” it would appear so

I get the sense that something is disclosed on a certain day.
So they speak that African tick-tock language I see.
My most recent conspiracy theory, developed in my own head with absolutely no proof at all, is that the government is conspiring with Spielberg. They are releasing all of the UFO stuff to gin up some interest—and then focus it all on the movie launch. This will make Hollywood rich again.
Just a thought, LOL.
If interesting that for most of his movies, I could show you a 20 second scene and you could know it was Spielberg. The lighting, expressions, and camera position are all tells. (Except for Shindler’s list.)
I like his stuff. It’s usually fun summer cinema.

That is very true. Throughout this trailer, you could tell over and over. That’s why “Schindler’s List” really stands out. A few others like “Saving Private Ryan” and “Amistad,” too.
I just looked up his filmography on Wiki. His career is really astonishing, even more so than I thought.

Looks like filming was done mostly in NYS and NJ. Two states that offer tax incentives for shooting there.
