Donald Trump has plenty of support from one of the NFL’s top teams.
The San Francisco 49ers have the most registered Republican voters, a new study reveals.
Albert Breer on Bills Weapons, AFC West Outlook, 49ers Roster
San Francisco is one of the most liberal cities in the United States. In fact, the city has voted Democratic in every United States presidential election since 1960. Republican Dwight D. Eisenhower won San Francisco over Democratic nominee Adlai Stevenson II, en route to an easy victory in the election.
But in terms of players who are registered Republican voters? The San Francisco 49ers lead all NFL teams, according to a new study.
VoteHub used voter file data and public information to find out the percentage of Republican, Democratic and independent voters from all 32 NFL teams. The 49ers are tops, with a partisan lean of +13.6 for the Republican Party.
For what it’s worth, the Green Bay Packers have the most Democratic voters with a +38.9 partisan lean.

Why would it shock anybody?? Just because they play for San Fagcisco doesn’t mean they are from the city...
Gubmint Cheese!
Especially the ones who come to Taxifornia from no/low state taxes
Exactly.
Just because they play for the 49ers doesn’t mean they are Commiefornians.
And they’re in Santa Clara. They also own Leeds United.
"When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe." -- Thomas Jefferson
All of California’s elections have been rigged since 2008
Exactly....when it comes to that city I would suspect just the opposite.
Who would live in that environment if they had the means to live elsewhere?
During the season im sure many rent or lease condos and such but this story is kinda dumb IMO.
Eisenhower didn’t run in 1960.
1. Players on any major sports league team come from all sorts of places across the country and usually in most cases NOT the host city of the team. Their families and backgrounds are not in the host city, and many keep the state they come from as the state where they have their primary residence.
2. Only about 50% of their games are “home” games - in the host city for their team.
3. Most players do not move their permanent primary residence to their team’s host city. Instead, they maintain a “home base” in their preferred location—often their hometown or a state with no income tax, such as Florida or Texas—while renting luxury apartments or houses near their team’s facilities during the season.
Therefore, it is not really surprising that San Francisco 49ers have so many team members with voting registration as GOP.
The host city may have a certain political elan, but that says nothing about the individual members of a sports team hosted there.
Because the headline needs to be click bait. SHOCKING!!!!!
My friends we’re living in modern day Rome. The NFL will be spreading globally even more than it does now. The competitiveness and violence that goes with it are a part of the human condition. That’s why wars are constantly going on somewhere. Pro football is just a reflection of it and the woke stuff applied today are there to balance political lines as more people watch. Just look at all the different levels of society that just can’t get enough. It brings us all together on one level while exposing the spoiled condition we’re all in. I just wouldn’t want to pay the price these players pay to their health.
They are highly paid and play half their games (or more!) in highly taxed California!
None of our business really. I find it ridiculous that we want them to shut up and play the game but yet reporters go out and try to make it political. We should know practically nothing about these football players, except if they’re good players or not.
And the whole thing arguably really got rolling with the Sanchez-Dornan election in 1996.
Meh. My mom was but never voted for them. She’s been gone a while now but still may be voting dem. :)
This is almost like doxxing.
Is that the intent of this article/study/whatever drivel this is?
