A Ringgold tradition which honors the men and women who served our country grows each year, adding more flags and crosses to the downtown streets for Memorial Day.

This is a YouTube video with a very stirring rendition of "Amazing Grace" using aerial and land video footage of American flags flying on Memorial Day in Ringgold, Georgia. It'll bring tears to your eyes.

We had a family tour of the Black Diamond Mines in Antioch, California yesterday. Driving through Antioch was quite stirring as well. Every light pole lining all the main streets had dual banners showing the sons of Antioch lost in defense of our great nation. The banners had a photo of the lost serviceman, his birth and death date, his branch and his rank. The Antioch Verteran Banner Program honors and remembers veterans from Antioch. The flag banners are complimentary!

Many people on FR will be surprised to learn many California towns are very patriotic.

Memorial Day, We Remember

May 25, 2026

Because the sock puppets delete Memorial Day remembrances in the comments. Thank you veterans.

Eternal rest grant unto them, oh Lord.
