Felix Rosenqvist capped his magical May by edging David Malukas in a last-lap drag race to the Yard of Bricks with the highest stakes, winning the 110th Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on Sunday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the closest finish in the century-plus history of “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing.”

Television coverage has come a long way but when the big races only go in spurts I’ll see what else is on. At one point during yesterday’s race, I found “The Story of G.I. Joe” and almost forgot about the Indy 500.

the winners in 1913 and 1914 were French, 191 was British.

I previously worked with the great grandson of the 1915 winner. He was American.

It’s always been an international event.

I can’t recall. I never saw the movie so if I saw it it wouldn’t have made much of an impression on me. I was there in 2003.

Nicely since I was there last.
I especially liked the ‘Marmon Wasp” ...
