Robert Kenyon, a self-employed plumber, has been confirmed as Reform's official candidate for the upcoming contest in in Greater Manchester.

Kenyon stood in the constituency (district) in the 2024 general election, and came second to Labour's Josh Simons.

The by-election comes after Simons stepped down as MP to allow Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham an opportunity to contest the seat.

For me, Makerfield isn’t a stepping stone. It’s my home. The people here are my neighbours, friends & family.

I took @Nigel_Farage out in my van to show him the places that matter to me. We chatted rugby league and why Makerfield finally needs a proper local MP.

Thank you very much and God bless you.

This is cool. They've chosen a local champion and he's neck and neck in the polls with Burnham

“I think when you spread the wealth around it’s good for everybody.”

And Barry sure squandered a lot of it (our money) around. And soon after leaving the White Hut was personally worth millions of dollars, though he and Moochelle didn’t have two nickels to rub together before he got into politics. So spreading it around certainly was good for those two ticks on the body politic.
