I hate to say it but this outcome needs to be repeated every time this scenario arises.

I enjoy the old and a lot of newer movies where a thousand rounds are fired - not one bullet hole anywhere, not one flat tire, not one human hit. Maybe that’s what happened.

I doubt it. This is not the secret service of twenty or thirty years ago. I'm surprised 4 or 5 bystanders weren't hit.
I’m surprised the Secret Service Barney Fifes were able to hit him at all. They must have had their eyes closed and by a miracle they hit him.
