CONCORD, N.C. — Kyle Busch is expected to miss this weekend’s Coca-Cola 600 and all activities surrounding the legendary event at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

“Kyle (Busch) has experienced a severe illness resulting in hospitalization. He is currently undergoing treatment and will not compete in any of his scheduled activities this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway. We ask for understanding and privacy as our family navigates this situation.”
Statement by Richard Childress Racing: “Kyle Busch’s health is our upmost priority and he and his family have the full resources of RCR behind them,” the statement read. “Kyle is an integral part of our organization and we wish him a safe and speedy recovery. His No. 8 Chevrolet will be ready and waiting for him. We’re thankful to Austin Hill for stepping in to drive the No. 8 Chevrolet this weekend. Please keep Kyle and the Busch family in your prayers, and help us respect the family’s privacy at this time.”
The Coca-Cola 600 is scheduled Sunday for 1800 EDT without television coverage. Media coverage by PRN Radio or by MGM/The Washington BLEEP.

Now THAT is one ambiguous journalism title.
“Now THAT is one ambiguous journalism title.”
For those that follow nascar it makes perfect.....it does to me anyway.
In nascar, the only “Chevrolet” in the picture is the name, and possibly a vague body shape. The car has been completely replaced.
That’s with any make in nascar now.
The cars AND the drivers all look alike to me.
I followed it back in the 80s and 90s when you could still tell what make a car was just by the body lines.
When they let toyota in I started to lose interest.....then came “stages” for superspeedways.
Even being inside of 80 miles from Daytona and having attended many races there, between all that, the traffic, the increasingly skyrocketing price of tickets and it’s now a haven for woke and DEI I was done.
RCR builds their own Chevrolet R07 engines. Has Chevrolet part numbers. In the past they’ve also built the Cadillac prototype engines.
“Non Vegan. I think that’s pretty funny (after seeing a race car sponsored by Jack Link’s meat snacks). We live in a sport where DEI has nothing to do with diversity and equity. DEI is Dale Earnhardt Inc.” — Mike Joy, Fox.
I will fully admit to not knowing much about NASCAR, but it seems to me that the rules are rigged so that there’s always a mad dash on the final lap to decide a 500-mile race.
Now you have woke “diehard” fans of the sport posting they would rather have MS NOW and The Washington BLEEP over Fox.
“We live in a sport where DEI has nothing to do with diversity and equity.”
I hope your not including me in that....I thought I made it abundantly clear I have disowned noosecar permanently and explained why.
That circuit could go belly up tomorrow and I wouldn’t lose a wink of sleep....and I might even get drunk for joy to celebrate.
“I will fully admit to not knowing much about NASCAR...”
Trust me, you’re not missing a thing. I was deep into it when real men drove real cars so I see the contrast between then and now clearly.
It is now just a shadow of what it wasxand what made it great.
There was a time when the stands were packed for every race.....now, you can see on television there are empty seats everywhere and there’s a reason for that.
Another thing. Michael Jordan recently sued nascar and won....this season his team has won no less than FIVE races.
You want to talk about something rigged....start there.
Have not watched a NASCAR race since Fireball Roberts ran. Those days it was win on Sunday sell on Monday.
The same way the NASCAR Toyota “Camry” has nothing to do with the street version.
The only thing they share is the name.
It is usually caused by drivers getting impatient about where they will finish and causing wrecks that reset the field.
I clicked here to see Kyle Busch getting a kiss from the ravishingly gorgeous Miss Coca-Cola 600.
