If this is to be a historical docudrama and not a live action version of a Betty Boop cartoon, then it will do well.

I hope it is better than that other live-action Max Fleischer project POPEYE film starring Robin Williams and Shelly Duval from 1980............

POPEYE with Robin Williams was a goofy movie. My favorite part was when Popeye threw the tax collector into the water.

I didn’t know the history of Betty Boop. It’s too bad Mae Questal isn’t still around, her insight would be interesting.

For some that might not know, Mae Questal was also the cartoon voice of Olive Oyl in the Popeye cartoons, Betty Boop in the cartoons, and Aunt Bethany in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.
