So he crossed the border three years ago at the age of 21, and was already driving a big rig. Although, full disclosure. I was also around 24 years of age and the moving company told me to drive a bunch of office furniture downtown in a large box truck.
“Um - I don’t have a commercial license, and I’ve never driven anything that big.”
“Oh - you’ll be fine.”
I was fine until I had to leave after dropping off the furniture. Narrow alley that emptied onto a VERY busy pedestrian mall area. People walking, not wanting to wait for a truck, so I was a bit flustered and hurried. Couldn’t make the tight turn so had to back up. Right into one of those green telephone boxes and knocked it over.
A cop came over, looked at the box and propped it back up, then directed the pedestrians for me. “Next time get your helper to jump out and direct you as you back up.”
The criminal behind the cracked-up semi is an illegal immigrant from India. He shoulda never been here in the first place. The Democrat-burdened Biden crew caught this killer at the border, released him into our country, and walked away. Now two Americans are dead.

An American kid, who grew up among a driving population can get his CDL at 18, however, he must remain in his home state until 21. He can’t even cross state lines while in training.
An illegal, who may have hardly been in a vehicle until he made his way to a porous border can get an unrestricted CDL immediately upon his illegal entry.
While the 21 age needs some tweaking, a person must possess some serious driving skill before being handed a Commercial Driver License and running a 80 foot long 65,000 lb vehicle at highway speeds.
My son was the kid with the CDL at 18. We live in a small state so he moved to his Grandma’s house for a few years in a larger state so he could get a job.
He began by driving box trucks and gained some experience, then moved on to flatbed eighteen wheelers.
He’s now 26, sitting around 1/2 million safe miles. He did have one bad wreck but it was unavoidable. He put himself at mortal risk by swerving away from a loaded school bus who’s driver pulled into his path from a side street. He was in a loaded dump truck. Had it on two wheels for about 100 feet but the load shifted and he went over before he could save it. God was merciful as he was basically uninjured.
