Police are investigating after a 75-year elderly woman died following a fight at a Tim Hortons in Indiana.
According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, the confrontation between Anita Grayson and a 17-year-old employee and a 20-year-old shift leader began just after 8 a.m. on May 13 after Grayson entered the fast-food restaurant to address an issue with an order she had received through the drive-thru.
Police say Grayson was berating the younger worker before the shift lead stepped in and asked Grayson to leave the store.
Grayson is then alleged to have shoved the shift lead and struck her in the face, according to police, who also shared security footage that showed Grayson and the shift employee on the floor of the Tim Hortons.
Police said the shift lead was left with both scratches and also had a “chunk of hair” pulled from her head. Following the fight, police said Grayson sat down at a table before picking up the “shift lead’s hair from the floor” and placing it on her bag.
Moments later, police said Grayson laid down on the floor with the shift lead checking up on her and bringing her a cup of water. Once officers arrived, they found Grayson unresponsive and she was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.(snip)
No arrests have been made in connection with the death and Grayson’s cause of death has not been determined.
Yeah, you probably said “What the puck?” 🏒🥅
In all honesty early and sincerity: what are black women so angry about? Almost all of these rage at fast food, or convenience or grocery store stories feature the component of one or more angry black women
Not necessarily a full blown stroke. My dad also had congestive heart disease, and in the last week of his life, he became erratic and combative with my oldest brother for no reason. He was already in the hospital, but they had to put Dad in restraints. The doctors said that this was likely caused by a lack of oxygen getting through to his brain. It was in the same vein as a stroke, but not a TIA. His heart was filled with fluid most of the time those last days. At least we were able to gather around him to say goodbye.
There have not been separate categories in state and national records of assaults for fast food places for crimes against employees.
“An analysis of 911 call logs and public records across major cities in California recorded at least 77,000 violent or threatening encounters inside fast-food establishments (such as McDonald’s, Burger King, and Jack in the Box) over a four-year span.”—Security Consultant site.
The FBI identified 10,490 assaults of employees at fast food restaurants in one year.
What a way to go... Arguing over doughnuts.
I’m 75 in a few weeks; would not start a fight over a food order, at least not right away. Be polite, explain the issue and it most likely gets taken care of. Ask for the mgr, if necessary.
Not any solution to “why” but notice the Angry Black Woman Syndrome crisis in America: Notice they use “Aunt Esther” on Sanford and Son as an example. Could have used two (count ‘em) that I personally had a bosses just before I retired.

Aunt Esther was funny and Fred wisely never actually took her on.
That Sanford and Son show seems to be one that grows on us year by year.
Did they film that with a potato?
Shows from that era were un-woke; such a concept was never even thought of. If a program was an equal-opportunity-offender, pretty much any social subject could be tackled.
All in the Family’s Archie Bunker was cast as straight up bigot, in a funny way, and America loved him.
Natural hair weaves sell for big bucks — could let it go to waste.
What demon possessed a 75 year old to act like a lunatic. That is just crazy.
HER CAUSE OF DEATH WAS BEING STUPID.
That poor old lady, I have met some nice older ladies, and even some really mean old ones who are great actors.
I kinda get the feeling this old lady is one of the mean ones, but then employee did push her first. (which I am sure the old lady did not try to provoke)
