Former first lady Michelle Obama was raising two young girls while living in the White House. And while she had her fair share of “traumatizing” moments during her husband’s presidency, one overseas trip really pushed her to her limit.(snip)
Michelle recalled the “messy conversations” she had with White House staffers after the “impossible” travel schedules became too much for her young daughters, Malia Obama and Sasha Obama — now 27 and 24, respectively — to handle.
The Obamas moved into the White House in 2009 with two young daughters — Malia, then 10, and Sasha, then 7. Michelle quickly realized that staffers were more focused on diplomatic schedules than on what worked for her kids.
During one overseas trip, the family was rushed through several countries in just a few days, with public appearances starting the moment they landed. After barely sleeping on a flight to Russia, her daughters were thrown in front of cameras at ceremonies and official events.
“They maybe slept for three hours on the plane with jet lag. And I had to go in and wake them up knowing that they hadn’t had sleep,” she recalled, adding that she asked herself, “Why are you here?”
The exhaustion eventually caught up to Malia, who turned to her mother and said, “I’ve never felt this bad in my whole life.”
“Honey, that’s jet lag,” Michelle told her.
Looking back, Michelle said the experience horrified her. Once they returned home, she confronted her husband, Barack Obama, and their team. “I was like, ‘This is crazy. This is ridiculous,'” she recalled.
From that point on, the rules changed. “After that trip, we told our team, ‘Don’t ever do that. Don’t plan a trip that if we land, the kids have to work right away,’” she said.

One of the most horrifying for Big Mike was when she went on southern white woman Paula Deen’s show.
After the show aired, Paula was just jawjacking when asked about Big Mike being on her show and Paula said that Big Mike devoured large quantities of the food because it was so good.
Short time went by before the hounds of hell went after Paula and declared her a racist of the worst sort. Pretty much destroyed Paula’s reputation and she lost her show.
Now we all know Big Mike most certainly ate everything in sight and Paula wasn’t being mean, she just was bragging how Big Mike liked her cookin’.
Remember how lobsters crawled away in fear when they saw the Mooch and a cup of butter coming their way.
This was a short Obama story. Enough said.
Let's see, what other traumatizing moment was there from your White Hut days? Oh yeah...the time you took off, claiming you disguised yourself so nobody would recognize you, and headed to a local Target. When some old racist white woman asked you to get her a container of laundry detergent off the top shelf, you proclaimed you were disappointed that nobody recognized you.
And then there's the traumatic experience you underwent, when Melania Trump handed you a gift on January 20, 2017, and you got in a tizzy, claiming it wasn't tradition for First Ladies to exchange gifts, despite the fact that you brought a gift box to Laura Bush the day you and your beard moved into the White Hut on January 20, 2009.

Did you ever see the battalion of family and friends the Obamas took with them on all their trips? Most times her mother, her brother and Obama's half-sister went with them on overseas trips...and members of those families went along as well.
The kids and gramma should have stayed home.

They probably did not want to be that far away from their real parents.

I was traumatized when Dorkbama and whatever entered the White House. So we’re even.

Poor lamb. She could have left them in Washington with her mom. I’m sure the Secret Service would have assisted in getting the girls to and from school. But, hey,10-18 years later, she’s running out of things to complain about, so you can’t blame her for scraping the barrel for fresh grievances
