Palin would have clobbered her. My guess is she is just too lazy.

Many of us in the Lower 48 loved Sarah (still do!), but as I recall, quite a few Alaskans either did not want to vote for Sarah at that point, or were ambiguous - uncommitted.
The distracting problems from her two eldest children did not help.
Some Alaskans were still upset that she left her Governorship early. I understood it clearly. Sarah was an early target of what we now call ‘lawfare’ by the left.
It did not help matters when her former running mate ‘The Maverick’ never missed a chance to insult or diminish her in a public way. File under: “Things That Could Have Been”.
My guess is she doesn’t want to be cavity probed again for people who hang her out to dry. She paid a good price and just deserves to do whatever she wants.
That's possible. But my guess is she realized long ago that she is (fairly or unfairly) seen as damaged goods and she's tired of her and her family constantly getting thrown under the bus and living under an electron microscope every time she shows her face in public or opens her mouth.
