"There are a number of other reasons guiding their desire to keep this secret, including a general belief that the public can't handle the truth."

I figure before they could send out any ships they had their entire solar system colonized. They would have to have tight control of all that to maintain radio silence for all the time it would take to arrive here. Not impossible but very doubtful.

And apparently repeatedly and with regularity...and given it is “multiple species” - happening with multiple advanced civilizations - all with the technology to be able to travel interstellar and/or intergalactic space then suddenly for all of them, and multiple craft, lose control and crash when they come here.

you’d think such advanced civilizations would have solved the collision problem by now ... heck, with all the work being done on self-driving cars, WE humans might even be able to solve it in OUR lifetime! ...
