A "Progressive Tech Coalition" (including Apple, Google, & Roblox) has abruptly changed stance on "Age Verification" laws.

Up until now, the "Chamber of Progress" has consistently opposed all laws seeking to implement age verification... but they have decided to support the Colorado "Age Verification for all Operating Systems" law.

"Chamber of Progress", a Big Tech lobbyist trade group, is encouraging the Governor of Colorado to sign SB26-051 (which would require all Operating Systems implement mandatory "Age Attestation") into law.

Chamber of Progress is a lobbying arm of Amazon, Apple, Uber, Google, Coinbase, and OpenAI.

Should be the job of content providers to put those guardrails in place, not the OS.

WiFi doorbells, thermostats, vacuums, refrigerators, etc., all have operating systems.

AppleInsider is slightly cryptic about it.

AppleInsider says "these firms" AKA Apple and Google, but no matter because AppleInsider quotes directly from Bloomberg, which is in no ways vague about it.

A joint amicus filing, a filing by parties with a strong interest in a case, also came from several groups, including Chamber of Progress. The tech advocacy group, funded by and representing Google, Apple, Amazon, Nvidia and many other tech companies, said they shared concerns over the government punishing Anthropic for public speech.

You have a strange definition of the word "partners." Partners = "its funded by"

It's Apple, and it's the Chamber of Progress. And others well documented(like Google) but who have no willfully blind defenders so far around here.
