I would have liked the cameraman to stay focused on the field of play instead of showing the scoring runner jumping around.
Different game, but I saw that the Texas Tech women’s softball team was down 8-0 to Ole Miss, with only one out left, and they came back to win.
That’s one of the cool things about softball. Once a rally starts it can go on for a long time and a lot of runs.
Seems that there was a penalty in there somewhere.
Where? The shortstop missed the ball.............
Third baseman, not SS..............
Third baseman, not SS..............
Who?
Batter didn't stay in the lane and tossed his helmet. although, the run had already scored. What are the rules in that situation?
I don’t know..............
Who is on first...
The tossed helmet is a warning. If they already had a warning, it's an ejection at the end of the play. So that's nothing.
The base path is irrelevant unless someone with the ball attempts to make a play on him. The runner's lane is irrelevant unless there is a throw coming from behind the runner. The first base coach might have saved the win by getting him to touch first.
The runners from first and second still could have cost them the game if they didn't advance to the bases they were forced to. There was one out; if they can get two outs on this play and the third out is a force (or the batter-runner before he reaches first) then no runs can score on the play and the game continues.
It looked like R2 was about to touch 3rd before the camera panned a way, so they should be good.
Hell of a play call. Batter laid down the bunt perfectly.
I couldn’t tell when the ringer on third started toward the plate. Was it a suicide squeeze?
*runner
I don’t think so, no runner on 2nd?...........
I don't know.
Why aren’t there any ‘transmen’ playing on that team? Baffling! 😒
This is a very conservative military populated area. I’d bet the majority of those guys are sons of Air Force or Army dads or moms.............
I don’t know (third base).
