The founders of our nation didn’t see it that way at all. They saw freedom and justice as the basic components of citizenship, not voting in a block as though we have a parliamentary government.
The House of Representatives served the people, not the president, regardless of party.

Posts like yours really turn me off. They are so pretentious. You posture to show your independence and ignore the realities.
The reality is that you pick the person based on their experience, stated goals and their track record. Then you don’t micromanage, especially w/o the intel and personal experience with the players. You give that person room to negotiate and if after the dust settles you are not satisfied you choose differently the next time.
Trump has delivered for America and he has been transparent about fulfilling campaign promises. There are situation that arise beyond his control that can delay or modify what can be achieved. No one in my lifetime has done better or done more to keep faith. No Congress has been worse or more obstructive.
So go on, posture & strut about your independence. It means nothing except to boost your ego. This is not a ball game or a spectator sport. Understand that the concept of pulling together to achieve a common goal involves compromise not micromanaging or asserting individuality at the expense of the goal.
This is a very difficult lift that might save our Country and allow America to deliver the goals stated in the preamble to the Constitution.
