Ah. Okay. I get it now. She is going to be the “new” Helen of Troy in “The Odyssey”?

Ugh. Well. They did make Ian Fleming’s 007 into a heavyset black woman, so there is nothing that they cannot make a black woman into.

Thankfully, I can’t imagine that her role as The Face That Launched a Thousand Ships lasts more than a few minutes, right?

Right?

Hey, and at least they didn’t cast that other woman in the picture in the role of Mighty Achilles.

Right?

> I’ve come to believe they dont really care about losing money

They put out enough popular junk that they are rolling in it.

This allows them to systematically roll through all of Western culture and pre-woke classics and trash them. Notice the “failed” people never get canned.

Still wouldn’t be surprised to find out Soros or PRC underwrites these dogs.

They don’t care. Years ago someone listed all the movies that made money in a decade. Studios knew what they were. They would green-light crap movies that they wanted to make anyway.

Wow, yes.

I had Netflix for many years, back in the day when they would ship you the disks, and when they changed to streaming, I kept it for a few years.

Then, at some point I began to notice the types of movies they were offering on their streaming service, many Leftist ones, and then I stumbled into their queer section.

Cancelled it right there. I think that was sometime around 2007, though I can’t remember.

They are no longer in business to make money and are rich enough (or think they are) to have very expensive hobby of trolling.

Every outraged denunciation is a win because it makes them feel good about themselves.

Poor you. They have released all kinds of clips and PR on this overpriced nonsense.

I haven’t seen one critic yet that sees this nonsense as a credible depiction of the Odyssey.

Why do you care so much about a woke depiction and ruination of a classic?

Did you see it?

Or you’re just doing the prejudiced critique from clips?

Movie stars are supposed to be handsome / beautiful. It makes it easier to watch them for two hours.

My theory is that no one wants to take a stand at the meetings.

Most likely a case of the Abilene Paradox, although that should never be happening in an executive suite that should be all about shareholder value.

[The Abilene Paradox is a psychological phenomenon where a group of people collectively agree on a course of action that none of them actually desire. It occurs because every individual mistakenly believes their own preferences oppose the group's, leading to a misinterpretation of silence as consensus.]

Nah. Nolan can do whatever he wants. He has carte blanch in Hollywood. This crap is all him. What isn’t even mentioned is he is basing it on some woke, white, tatted up idiot broad’s feminist “translation” of The Odyssey. Nolan is the lunatic here.
